Happy New Years- Goodbye 2017 and Hello 2018

The end of 2017 is just around the corner.  There have been so many good memories made and some sad times we have faced, but we are ready to move on and create new memories.

This year I am choosing my resolutions more practically.  I want my resolutions to be based on what I need, want, and what would make a difference.  I want my choices to be obtainable and the start of making better memories.

Resolutions
1. Make more time for me
I work 9 hours a day with an hour commute both ways. I come home and dive right in to mommy duties.  I need to relinquish control and have everyone chip in.  Not that they don't already, but I need to not feel guilty for asking for or accepting help. I am human.

2. Take more pictures.
I compared my son's school photos from last year and this year and I am stunned by the transformation.  Gone are the chubby cheeks of a child and here in their place is a man.  My son is a little man.

3.  Learn from trials and tribulations
It is easy to feel anger when you feel that someone has wronged you.  It is easy to feel sad at the death of someone you love.  We are human and our emotions rule our choices.  We forget that anger fades as does pain, but the life lessons we learn will stay with us. I want to focus more on the positive than the negative and hope to gain an inner peace.

What are your resolutions?

  1. Looks like good goals. If we were all perfect at following number 3, there would be world peace and none of that...you know..."situation" in Washington!
