Build bridges with coffee! #giveaway

Thank you to Hope Bridges for providing product for review. All thoughts are my own.

My husband and I joke that our relationship revolves around coffee. Our first date consisted of a hike, dinner, and a three-hour conversation outside of a coffee shop. I left that night and called my best friend to let her know that I had met my husband, seven months later he proposed in that same coffee shop. We've been married nearly nine years now and I am afraid to tally up the percentage of our salary that is spent at our local coffee shops. Between grading papers, enjoying conversation or an outing with our little ones, our local coffee shops are our go-to place and coffee has kept us functioning during the newborn years and the endless nights of teacher prep.

It is safe to say that my love for all things coffee has made me a bit of a coffee snob. I'll try any coffee but I either love it or hate it and there really is no guessing at which I will prefer, I like light and dark roasts equally and I'm embarrassed by the amount time it takes me to decide between traditional hot coffee or the trendier iced coffee.

I am very excited to have tried several different coffees from Hope Bridges. Not only do they have amazing coffee but the proceeds from their coffee sales goes to help children in Thailand. Hope Bridges was founded in 2009 after a mission trip to Thailand. The money raised from coffee sales goes to educate, feed, shelter and provide basic necessities for over 100 children in Thailand.

We tried five different blends of Hope Bridges Coffee: Waterfall Cold Brew, Cafe Espresso, Elephant Roast, Orchid Roast and Hot Springs. Out of the hot brew varieties, the Elephant Brew was my favorite to eat with dark chocolate while Cafe Espresso was my favorite to eat with fruit pastries in the morning as the hints of fruit were more noticeable when adding fruit to your palate. Orchid Roast is a great blend to have in the evening without the risk of keeping you up too much longer than normal and Hot Springs is a bit stronger than Orchid Roast. I was most intrigued by the Waterfall Cold Brew as it was accompanied by two mesh bags to portion coffee into that would sit in cold water overnight making a fantastic pitcher of cold coffee any time of day.

Cold brew, brewing!

We no longer have a traditional coffee maker in our house as we use our coveted french press or Keurig. We did find Hope Bridges Coffee a little too finely ground for our French Press but it worked perfectly in our K-cup insert for ground coffee. I have brewed Hope Bridges at work in a traditional coffee maker and it worked well. I have several coworkers that enjoy it more than their traditional brewed coffee. I hope you find your perfect Hope Bridges coffee and simultaneously help the people of Thailand!
