2017 was the first year that our family attempted camping of any kind. We visited two family campgrounds- one in NC, and one in VA during the summer and early fall. We lodged in comfy cabins, but noticed that there were a lot of families who were camping in their RVs and many were tent camping, as well. True camping is appealing to me and my hubs, but with a little one under the age of two, we feel like it just isn't possible... yet.
Sacha did mention that one of the ways we could feel more like we were actually camping would be to put up a hammock and have some outdoor chill time. I'd never really thought of that, as I'm not really an outdoor adventure type girl. I want to do all of those things, but then the very dainty part of me kicks in and says, 'Nah... I'll just stay here where it's safe.'
I'm trying to be more adventuruous so I can make awesome memories with my family. I am hoping that we can do a lot more camping and hiking in 2018. We might even be able to set up camp in our own backyard, thanks to Live Infinitely.
