Thank you to Modarri for providing me with samples in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts shared are my own.
One of our favorite movies that came to the big screen over the summer just raced into our home on BluRay & DVD. It's a pretty exciting movie, and the kids have been watching it over and over again. My son B (7 years old) is all about race cars right now. He's taken an interest in racing and has been asking if we could visit the NASCAR Museum in Charlotte and if his dad and I could one day take him to the Charlotte Motor Speedway to see a race. We don't live too far from Charlotte, but we're not sure if we're quite ready for the thrill of a live race with a 7-year-old.
Quality time spent working on building Modarri cars.
B comes by his love for cars and speed honestly. His dad loves sporty cars, sitting low to the ground, and of course, zipping around. He's always dreamed of holding onto one of our old Subarus for B so they can work on it together and fix it up to be B's first car. Imagine their delight when I was able to present them with awesome buildable car kits from Modarri that they could work on together now, rather than having to wait until B is a teenager.
Modarri is the ultimate toy car. Modarri cars provide a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) experience. By encouraging logic, creativity, and imagination, Modarri places itself above the nearest competition, all without the use of screens or batteries. Modarri reflects long-lost values of classic play: building cars together and sharing parts – actively socializing and making memories together, instead of through a phone or tablet.
Modarri offers creativity at every turn...
B was stoked to check out a Delux Starter Set and a Muscle Car Kit from Modarri. His dad was also pretty excited to help B put the cars together. The Delux Kit came with three cars, extra parts that could be mixed and matched, special 'screwdrivers' to put the cars together with, and traffic cones for extra playtime fun!
A couple of the cars were semi-put together already. Of course, my eager guys immediately took them all apart and laid all of the car parts out so they could pick and choose which body parts they wanted to put with each base. The wheels also come off and are interchangeable. After they grouped together car bases, body parts, and wheels, they used the special tools to put the cars together. Putting the cars together was simple and a lot of fun. B could easily put the cars together by himself and had a blast doing it. His dad also had fun building a custom car!
B couldn't wait for his dad to hurry up and finish building the third race car. He was so excited to test them out on our wooden floors- the perfect raceway! My hubby is super patient and likes to take his time, so he made sure to get the wheels on just right before he handed the finished car over to B for playtime.
The special tools that come with the cars are not at all sharp like a real screwdriver can be. They're completely safe for kids to use on their own, though if you're like we are, we hover anyway, just as a precaution. The Delux Kit came with three tools- one for each car. I was so glad for this because if one winds up lost (and it will!), we'll have other ones.

The Muscle Car Set is so cool! Hubby really likes this car, and I think it's B's favorite, too- that is, if he actually had to choose a favorite... he loves all of the cars! This car is a bit of a different style than the others, but it works the same way in how you put it together. The parts can be mixed and matched with the other Modarri cars, which B really loves!

These cars are so cool! Since we got them, B has taken them apart and put them back together in different ways every day! They're the first thing he reaches for when he wakes up in the morning, and they're the first thing he wants to play with when he gets home from school. He loves coming up with new combinations and loves racing the cars with just his fingers!
Modarri cars would make an excellent holiday gift! We plan to add to B's Modarri collection. If you have little dudes or dudettes who love cars, they'll love Modarri (and so will you!).
