This month, my husband and I will celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. I can hardly believe that ten years have passed since we said 'I do.' In those ten years, we've experienced a lot. We've had some grand adventures, have welcomed two beautiful children into our lives, and have embraced what it means to be a family. Through the years, I've become 'snap happy,' taking pictures at every turn, not wanting to miss a moment of our lives together. Since I am the picture taker, I rarely have the opportunity to be in photos with my precious family. For our 10th anniversary, we thought it would be wonderful to have family photos made and to preserve this special milestone.
We were blessed to work with Choice Photo Studios for our family photo shoot, and the entire experience has been better than I could have hoped for. Choice Photo Studios is located in Mooresville, NC, and is easy to find, as it's near a lot of well-known stores in a popular shopping area of town. The studio is managed by Cindy Phillips, a professional photographer. Choice Photo Studios has an incredible studio with an amazing and impressive set-up. Our experience in working with Cindy has been so enjoyable. We started by chatting on the phone to set a date and time for our photo session. Cindy was quick to tell me that the studio offers location photo shoots, which was music to my ears. From there, we talked through a few ideas that I had for the photo shoot. I wanted to have our family photos taken at Sloan Park in Rowan County, where my husband and I had our engagement photos made ten years earlier. Cindy loved the idea and asked me to bring along our engagement photo album so she could re-create some of those poses for us.

Our photo session with Cindy was so much fun. She's incredibly talented and is also very laid back while maintaining true professionalism. We talked and laughed all the way through our photo shoot, and Cindy helped us feel at ease when our kids were not quite wanting to cooperate (especially Baby S). Cindy had tons of poses in mind and moved us from spot to spot, capturing beautiful backdrops of nature and historic architecture.

When Baby S became fussy, Cindy encouraged us to just 'let her do her thing,' and not to worry. Cindy captured some amazing shots of Baby S, just doing what she does best- being an adorable, goofy, strong-willed girl. Cindy also captured stunning photos of our handsome son, which I now treasure. Just looking at those images bring me tears of joy.

When we were wrapping up our photo session, we decided to let the kids head to the playground to play for a while, and Cindy said that she'd love to tag along! She snapped even more photos of the kids, just playing and having fun. Those smiles are priceless!

After we wrapped up our photo shoot, Cindy headed back to Choice Photo Studios in Mooresville, to start working on editing photos. Cindy took over 100 photos of our family! A few days later, we were invited to drop by the studio for a tour, and were presented with our photos.
