Lions and tigers and bears, oh, my! I still remember that as one of my favorite lines from The Wizzard of OZ, my favorite movie from childhood. I have always thought of animals as cuddly creatures, and have loved soft plush versions of animals that I'll never be able to cuddle with in real life. It's been no surprise to me that my son also has an affinity for cuddly plush animals and has always loved cuddling up next to his mom with a warm blanket. B's gotten a taste of the best of both worlds recently, thanks to an innovative blanket from FinFun.

FinFun is known for their adorable and enchanting mermaid tails. We were pretty excited to try out one of the Wild Things Animal Blankets by FinFun. It arrived in a nice box with a small cut out, revealing the animal's paw, which you can touch and feel. B was way more excited than I imagined he would be to open the box and cuddle up in his new lion blanket.

The blanket is so soft! It's shaped like a lion's body, offering two arms and legs. There are little pockets for your child's hands to go into on the paws, so they can actually wear the blanket. The top of the blanket is a hood, which comes over the child's head, but it doesn't cover their face. The hood reveals the lion's face, complete with mane and ears, eyes, and a nose.

B loves to cuddle up in his lion blanket after school, on the weekends, and before bedtime while we're reading stories. I have a feeling that it'll be coming along with us on our next family trip. It's great for him to keep warm with in the car, as he can wear it over the front, or wrap around the back.

Baby S wants to be a lion, too!

B loves his Animal Blanket from FinFun. He actually likes to wear it and crawl around on the floor, pretending to be a lion. Baby S loves this game. She either crawls around behind her big brother or coerces B to chase her on hands and knees. She loves making the animal sounds, and the two of them stare at each other, roaring until mommy's had enough and asks them to stop.
