Happy Saturday! I don't think there are words adequate enough to explain how elated I am that it is finally the weekend! We had a short school week, so we naively believed the week would go by quickly. It didn't. It felt longer than a full week and by the time yesterday rolled around, I was so tired I ended up taking a nap!
Today isn't going to offer much in time to relax either. Both girls are now in "game mode" for the soccer season (no more practices) and this will be one of the less hectic Saturdays (weekends, really) from now through the end of October/early November. |

R has a game today and D will be at the local grocery store for the league's "Fill a Bucket" fundraiser. Thankfully, Matt is not working, so we'll be able to "divide and conquer" the tasks. Tomorrow is another game day, but thankfully only for D. After this weekend, both girls will have games every weekend, thankfully at different times. I wrote the schedule on the calendar last night, in an attempt to be super organized, and felt just a tad bit overwhelmed looking at it. Thankfully both girls really enjoy the sport and have a great time playing.
Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to Tuesday. There is no school and there are no games on the schedule for that day either. I am hoping we'll be able to sleep in a bit, but I'm experienced enough to know that kids only want to sleep in on actual school days and not the days they have off from school.
