How many times have you felt like throwing in the towel? My guess is that it's been more than once in your life, and you've been through situations of extreme frustration. I've been in a situation for the past couple of years that has left me frustrated, wanting to give up. I'm met with such a roller coaster of mixed emotions when I think about it. For me, though, I'm deeply invested in the situation that causes me stress, anxiety, and sometimes even pain. I'm so rooted in it, that I can't let go, and in fact, and holding on with every ounce of my being. 

When it's time for me to go- to pass the torch or move on, I'll know. For now, I am resting in the comfort that God provides me. When I have no strength, I lean on His strength, finding new strength in Him. I allow God to carry me on His shoulders when I feel that I can't stand on my own two feet. I think of my children, my husband, my family- the ones I do everything that I do for. They are my world. I remember to give every ounce of glory and praise for the goodness in my life to God because, without Him, I wouldn't have any of it.

Our lives are incredibly complex. The things that bring us joy can also bring us pain. It's easy to hide behind a smile and not let on that you're bothered by anything. 

One of my favorite Bible verses comes from the Book of Psalms, 30:5, which says,

'All you saints! Sing your hearts out to God! Thank him to his face! He gets angry once in a while, but across a lifetime there is only love. The nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter.' -The Message

And through it all, God won't forsake us, not even for one moment. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, friends. Let His strength carry you through all the days of your life.
