Thank you to MM Publicity for providing me with product in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Do you have a 'fan dad' in your life? You know the guy I'm talking about- the one who all but obsesses over shows, movies or books that he absolutely loves. My hubby is a super big fan of a lot of different movies and comics. He loves MARVEL comics, and we're sort of on a Guardians of the Galaxy kick right now, thanks to the awesome Guardians Vol. 2 movie that just came out. This is why I initially planned to buy comic book for him. Hubby also loves to read, and is a huge Tolkien fan, recalling his grandfather reading The Lord of the Rings to him as a child.
There are a lot of things that I could give to my husband for Father's Day. I also like to make sure that the kids have their own special gifts to give to him. It really makes them smile to be able to present their dad with cool gifts they'll know he'll enjoy.
For the MARVEL's Guardians of the Galaxy fan!
What's better than surprising dear old dad with a super fun way to enjoy his favorite Guardians of the Galaxy characters? In this fun-filled Guardians of the Galaxy 1000 Dot-to-Dot book, dad will have the chance to see his favorite characters come to life by connecting 1000 dots per picture. There are 20 pictures to choose from. I'm not sure that I would have the patience to do something like this, but it's right up my hubby's alley. He's going to love working on these dot to dot pictures when we're on vacation in a few weeks.
Take a look at all of the pictures that you can create with the dots!
So many dots to connect!
I know that my hubby will appreciate that the finished pictures look like the comic book characters. Being able to complete these dot to dot pictures will probably remind my husband of his childhood. I loved completing dot to dots when I was a kid. We're always looking for other ways to relax, so we can put our phones down and unwind. This is a great way to put your mind to work, while letting your stresses melt away.

The Battles of Tolkien Book
My husband is also a Tolkien fan. He loves The Lord of the Rings stories, and the world that Tolkien created. We have spent many weekends watching The Hobbit movies, and The Lord of the Rings movies, too. Hubby loves the languages, the characters, and the lands that Tolkien dreamed up, and loves to share the stories with our son.
Beautiful illustrations, maps, and images.
In The Battles of Tolkien, relive those favorite epic battles over and over again. I enjoyed thumbing through the pages of this beautiful book. Though I am not as well versed as my husband is when it comes to Tolkien, I recognized a lot of the characters and places shown.
Recognize this fellow?
This will be a great book for the kids to give to their dad for Father's Day. He'll enjoy reading more in depth about the battles of Tolkien's world, and will also enjoy sharing the stories with the kids. This will be one of those special collector's books that will probably be passed down to future generations.
The history of J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional world of Middle-earth is filled with epic battles in an ongoing struggle between good and evil. The Battles of Tolkien recounts many of the greatest conflicts over thousands of years, from the earliest skirmishes of the Valarian Ages to the defining battles in the War of the Ring. Insightful commentary by Tolkien scholar David Day discusses how the people, tactics, and weapons influenced the outcome of each battle, and also how the legends of Middle-earth relate to the real-world mythology on which Tolkien based his famous literary creation. Maps and full-color illustrations help bring this rich universe to life, making it an invaluable reference book for Tolkien fans of all ages.
