What a wonderful time we had celebrating Baby S' first birthday this month. This was a truly special event for us, and we were excited to share the special day with our friends and family. As soon as I knew that I wanted to have a birthday party theme, I realized that I would want a very special birthday outfit for S to wear for the party, and then to have as a keepsake later in life. Not just any old outfit would do, and I am challenged when it comes to sewing, etc- so I needed to find a beautiful outfit for my sweet little butterfly princess.

When I cam across Adeline Rose on Etsy, I fell in love with all of the sweet birthday outfits that were available to choose from. I reached out to Maria, and she was kind enough to work with me on a custom birthday outfit for Baby S, which included five pieces!
Our 5 Piece Birthday Set arrived in this lovely box.
The box contents were wrapped in an aqua blue tissue papper, and there were gold curled ribbons on top. I thought that was such a cute touch! As I opened the box lid, I found an envelope attached to the inside of the lid. I was excited to see what was inside of the envelope.
Inside the envelope was a care instructions card.
The instructions tell you what to do to wash/clean and preserve your precious outfit and/or accessories! This was wonderful, because Baby S did get some cake stains on her birthday shirt, and I wanted to make sure to wash it right away to get those purple icing stains out of her white top. I followed the instructions, and the top looks as good as new.

The beautiful birthday tutu skirt was laying on top, and underneath I found the other items, which were all individually packed in platic bags and sealed closed. I appreciated that the items were all individually packaged, because that meant that I could re-package them for keepsake purposes after the party.

Every single piece was incredibly beautiful! Each item had Baby S' name on it, so they were all personalized. The skirt and bodysuit were the items that I knew S would mainly be wearing for the party, so I laid those aside for her special day. I almost hated for her to wear the other pieces- they were so beautiful, I didn't want them to become dirty or messed up!

The skirt was just lovely- just as a princess' birthday tutu ought to be.
I loved the tutu so much. It was so full, and gorgeous! It had beautiful layers of lavender and silvery soft material. It stretched nicely at the waist, for a perfect fit for Baby S. It was easy to get it on and off of her when we needed to. She mostly kept the tutu on for her entire party, except for the cake smashing! The tutu also features a sash, which has her name on it, and is tied in a bow. A beautiful butterfly clip added a sweet touch to the tutu.
The birthday bloomers were so cute! My favorite detail was the two sweet little lavender and silver bows on each side.
The design on the bloomers goes across the fanny. On party day, poor Baby S wasn't feeling super well, and threw a fit when I tried to put her bloomers on. We laid them out for everyone to see at the party- they were a big hit! Her name, a number one and little butterflies adorned the bloomers.
The bib and party hat were adorable little extras!
I displayed the bib and hat at the party, as well. I didn't want S to wear the bib, because I didn't want it to get all messy. She did wear the party hat for a while, which is more like a headband. Eventually, it came off while she was playing with her baby friends. Both of these items went back into their packaging/boxes, and will be tucked away for S to have when she is older. They are beautiful keepsakes, and I can't wait to give them to her when she's all grown up.

Everyone absolutely loved her outfit and the accessories that went with it. I did wind up putting a pair of grey leggings under the tutu, because we went outside to play in the grass. S kept the tutu on all afternoon, without a care in the world. I had several friends asking me about the birthday outfit, wondering where they could get one for their own little love.
I was so happy with this beautiful outfit. The attention to detail was just perfect. I love how each piece had S' name on it, in pretty purple lettering. The number one was also on just about everything, and I love the little extras, like the bows on the bloomers, and the butterfly clip and sash on the tutu. This birthday outfit was incredible, almost more like a work of art. It tuly made our day all the more special, and our family and friends enjoyed seeing S in such a cute outfit for her big day.
