I love to study God's Word. I'll admit that I don't spend as much time in the Word as I used to. Honestly, I could and should trade a half an hour of mindlessly watching Netflix for reading my bible. I have some lovely bibles. I enjoy reading different translations and comparing them. I also love to color. I'm not super gifted when it comes to doodling, so when the whole bible journaling craze came about, I wanted to be into it, but worried that I wasn't artistic enough to try it.

I love scrapbooking, so I sort of see this as scrapbooking in my bible, without adding photographs. I love the page tabs, because they can be placed where you want to earmark certain verses. A favorite verse of mine is 2 Samuel 24:24, and I have it marked in my bible. I am looking forward to doodling 'count the cost' on that same page that the verse appears on. It reminds me that nothing is done without sacrifice, and that we are to serve the Lord with gladness, all the days of our lives.

I really love the zippered pouch that holds the tools for journaling. It has a beautiful scripture verse printed on it, and has a very pretty design. The zip pouch is perfect to take along with you, wherever you take your bible- you never know when inspiration will strike. I am looking forward to taking it with me to my LifeGroup meetings. I enjoy meeting the girls in my LifeGroup for coffee every other week, and would love to make some pretty doodles and notes along the pages that we study together.

I think this set would make a beautiful gift. As I showed it to my husband, he thought that we ought to get one to give to his cousin, who is also his godchild. I'd love to gift a set to my LifeGroup gals, and maybe even to my sister, who also loves to be in the Word.
