Ray and I are both self proclaimed coffee snobs. I remember professing our love (of coffee) on our first date. Our perfect morning is chatting over a delicious cup of joe, watching the girls play. For the first 3.5 years that we lived together we used an Aeropress for our coffee needs. Aeropress makes great coffee but only one cup at a time, this can become tedious. I knew we needed to find a better way!

Boil 6 cups of water Place a filter in brewing cone
Add coffee- I add a tablespoon per cup and it's perfect for us
Slowly pour water over grounds, adding more as coffee pours through the pot
Wait for all the water to drain through the filter
You have a divine pot of coffee, enjoy!
The Melitta Porcelain 6-Cup Pour-over Coffee Maker has earned a permanent spot on our counter. I love that it's pretty to look at and doesn't take up a lot of space. All of the parts are easy to clean, meaning there's no need to descale like with automatic coffee makers. After using it for a couple weeks, I tried to go back to our Areopress and was disappointed. The pour-over coffee was much better!

We enjoyed all three coffees they sent- including the flavored one (I'm usually not a fan). My favorite was the Vienna Roast. I opened the bamboo filters first, I love that they are more environmentally friendly, and they have worked great. You can tell that Melitta takes pride in creating quality products!
