Fall in the NC Mountains #DayTrips

Two weeks ago, we headed to the gorgeous NC mountains in Asheville for a church wide retreat weekend. We love heading up to Lutheridge, a Lutheran Camp and Conference Center that we frequent. I have been going to Lutheridge with my family for over 15 years. I am so happy to be able to share my love for this place and the mountains with my own children now.

A weekend in the mountains can be so relaxing. One of the things I love about living in the Piedmont of North Carolina, is that the mountains are two hours away, and the beach is between 3-4 hours away. We have the best of both worlds to our left and our right.

We had a great time enjoying our church family, and worshiping together,
Here's a recap of our weekend in photos...

Just sitting with a cup of coffee- that was awesome to me!

If you've never been to the NC mountains, or to Asheville, you should definitely plan a trip! I love Asheville so much. It has so many great places to visit, shop, and eat. Some of my favorite places include:

The Biltmore House- America's Largest Home
Biltmore Village- Historic Shoppes
Grove Park Inn- Omni Hotel & Resort
The Chocolate Fetish- Chocolate Shop
Malaprop's Book Store & Cafe
Tupelo Honey Cafe- All day breakfast, lunch, dinner
BiscuitHead- Breakfast/Brunch

If you want to check out Lutheridge/Lutherock for summer camp, family camp, music camp, or to get away to with your church or group, find out more through their website! You'll be glad you took the time to explore!

Have you ever visited Asheville, NC? What have been some of your favorite stops in town?
