I used to love my skin. Aside from it being on the oily side, it was tight and problem-free, and I loved it. Then I had my first child, and the problems began. After my hormones balance back out, everything sort of settled back down, and my skin was nice again. Since then, I have aged six years and have had another sweet baby. I'm on my feet a lot, so my heels are often rough and dry. I get less sleep, and I often have dark circles under my eyes. I don't have time for facials, so I get by with tired looking skin. First up for my trial, the Mary Jane n Butter Lotion

I am a lotion lover, and peppermint just happens to be my husband's favorite scent. I also love peppermint and can't consume it right now since I am breastfeeding, so I figured that wearing it instead would be the next best thing. Recently, Baby S and I suffered through contracting Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. It's as bad as it sounds. One of the last stages of the disease is for your skin to bubble up, dry out and peel off over your hands and feet. My skin has looked so awful since it started peeling. I have needed to keep lotion on constantly, and the Mary Jane n Butter came to me at just the right time. It smells wonderful, and has really helped to soothe my poor skin. My son loves it, too- especially the scent! It goes on smoothly, and doesn't leave behind an unwanted residue.

"Mary Jane n Butter Light" is high in Vitamin A, C & E.This product is also high in Omega 3 & 6 and will help reduce age spots an makes a great skin protectant. It contains hemp oil which is high in fatty acids and gives it anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe sore and aching muscles and aids in sunburn relief. Product is available in an 8 oz. pump bottle for easy dispensing. Comes in unscented version only.

Scram Insect Repellant

I needed to try the Scram in the worst way! There is something in my blood that mosquitoes absolutely love. They flock to me, and I can hardly be outside during the muggy summer afternoons and evenings. Within minutes of stepping foot outside, I am usually covered in bites. I wanted to try the Scram, because I dislike dousing myself in other types of insect repellant. Like the other SBN products, this is a natural repellent. Gina actually warned me beforehand that the scent can be a bit offputting, and that a little dab of this stuff goes a long way.

I dabbed a bit of the Scram at different places on my skin before going outside. I didn't mind the scent at all, though I did notice it was strong smelling. The Scram didn't totally keep me from being bitten, but I was less bothered by the mosquitoes when I went outside, which is a huge win for me! I would definitely recommend the Scram to anyone who is prone to mosquito bites.

“SCRAM“ is our all new, all natural insect repellent that works great at repelling the most bothersome insects. The combination of neem oil and tea tree essential oils along with the other oils will soothe the skin and produce a blockade to prevent insects from attacking.

This product is great for hikers, campers, gardeners, scouts, farmers or anyone outside in insect prone areas. It works great on mosquitos, flies, gnats, bees or other flying, pesky insects.

We have been told by a number of our users that a swipe of the product across the forehead, putting a dab on the back of their hands and if wearing shorts a dab on each knee and they were fully protected. This product is available in 4 oz. squeeze bottles.

So when you go out use “SCRAM” and the insects will scram.

Mud in Your Face Clay Scrub

I tend to have very oily skin. It's become a bit drier as I have gotten older, but some days, the shine is out of this world. The only things I want to see shining are my engagement ring and my smile, not my T-Zone. I use the clay scrub once a week when I take a little mommy break. It's a wonderful exfoliant, and works wonders to detox my skin. It removes all of the built up dirt and oil, leaving it feeling fresh, clean, and rejuvenated.

Here's a look at this wonderful clay mask!

"Mud in your Face" contains Vitamins A, C & E. This scrub is high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents. It is the best at unclogging and removing excess oil from skin. It is great for detoxification and improving skin texture and also aids in acne prevention. This product contains Rhassoul clay (morrocan red clay). This ultra fine clay is great for exfoliating and deep cleaning of skin, especially oily skin. Mud in your Face also makes a great makeup remover. It is an excellent deterrent for acne and those suffering from rosacea. Now available in lemon grass, tea tree essential oil, peppermint or unscented.

Ingredients: water, almond oil, grape seed oil, flax seed oil, aloe vera, glycerine, oatmeal, rhassoul clay, a natural emulsifier and fragrance if scented.

Usage: Maybe used several times a week followed by your favorite SbN moisturizer.

The Can't Dew Without You Eye Cream is a must for moms!

I am in love with the Can't Dew Without You Eye Cream. I have never really been a fan of eye creams in the past. I have tried a lot of them, and have never really noticed results. Dark circles run in my family, not to mention I'm not getting as much sleep as I was before my daughter was born. This magic eye cream works to eliminate dark circles, reduce puffiness, and smooth wrinkles! This is such an amazing product! Other eye creams can cost a ton of money, but this all natural wonder-working eye cream is under $10.00! Every mom deserves to have this product in her beauty bag! I use a little bit in the morning, and again at night before I go to bed. It helps to refresh tired eyes in the morning, and works to my benefit while I sleep at night.

The long wait is over and our new “Can’t Dew Without You” Eye Cream is now available. This eye cream does everything you would like to see in an eye cream, including softening lines, softening and smoothing wrinkles and getting rid of those dark circles. This product also relieves the puffiness under eyes. With ingredients including grape seed oil for one of the best in reversing age it is high in anti-oxidants. It is also high in Vitamin E which we all know can turn back the time. It is also high in Jojoba Oil which is the best softening ingredient on the market. This all natural based product is available in a 1 oz. jar.

Clay is the Way Bar Soap for Oily Skin

Continuing on with the oily skin products, we have Clay is the Way. This is a spa-like bar of soap that gets you nice and clean, and does double duty to clear your skin. I wanted to try this soap, because my husband sometimes breaks out on his back. He works in home restoration, and gets grimy during the day. The ingredients and the clay work together to soothe the skin, and extract dirt and oil. Hubby really loves this soap, and loves the peppermint fragrance.

"Clay is the Way" is a premium facial soap scrub that contains Vitamins A and E. It also contains rhassoul clay. This clay reduces oiliness, reduces flaking and improves skin clarity. This specialty soap also removes surface oil and removes dead skin layers and improves skin texture. Clay is the Way also contains shea butter, which soothes and revitalizes skin. All of this in a great bar of soap that is made for the face but may be used all over. Great for oily skin. Now in lemon grass fragrance, peppermint fragrance and unscented.

Ingredients: Coconut oil, palm oil, olive oil, castor oil, rhassoul clay, sodium hydroxide for saponification and fragrance if scented.

Peppermint soap on a rope- a treat for my son, B!

Soap on a rope may seem like a thing of the past, but Skin by Nature brings it back and makes it fun again! With Skin by Nature, you can actually customize a soap on a rope! I had a lot of fun with B, picking out which type of soap he wanted to try. First we chose the mold shape for the soap. There were several to choose from including an alien head, ducky, snowflake, etc. My boy chose the alien design, of course. We also got to choose the color, and went with green. For the scent, B chose peppermint (love it, just like his daddy). We also chose the rope color- white/blue.

B was so excited to receive his very first soap on a rope from Skin by Nature! He loved that he got to customize the soap, and couldn't wait to wash with it in the shower. He loved the cool alien design, and loves the way the soap smelled.

This is one of those products with a child in mind. They get to choose the rope color, the mold shape they want and the fragrance they want. This will bring out the imagination of any child and may be get them to use soap more often.

We will be bringing out new shapes and fragrances as we go along, and we will be glad to listen to your child for the fragrances they would like to see. When you can have shapes like a basketball or a tree frog, a snowflake, a duck or an alien head, these should have kids imaginations running wild. So let your child design his own soap and maybe you will have a cleaner and nicer smelling child as well.

"Soap on a Rope" is an old classic. Let it also become one of your child’s favorites as well.

All of these Skin by Nature products that we have tried have been amazing, and have exceeded my expectations. If we were to purchase these types of products from a skincare store, we'd spend a lot of money. These products are better for our skin, because they are all natural. We can plainly see what's in the products, and I love that. I feel good about presenting these products to my family and guests, and love using them, myself.
