Hallmark Good-Night Kisses Baby Gift Set #Review + #Giveaway

We have a new baby in our family, and it has been such a joy to rediscover all of the wonderful first moments that come along with a new little one to love. Baby S is totally different from our first baby (now five-year-old son), and full of personality. Baby S is just shy of three months old, and she's already growing so quickly! These first few weeks of her life have already flown by, and we've been so busy juggling two children versus just one child, that we are just now establishing a bedtime routine with her.

There are so many benefits to a regular bedtime routine- for baby and for parents. I loved having a bedtime routine with B when he was a baby, which consisted of a bath, bedtime feeding, story and cuddle time. This special time really helped him to relax and go down for the night (well, until he woke up an hour later... all through the night!).

Baby S is an excellent sleeper. She loves to cuddle with me until about 9:30 pm, and then she goes down for the night- sometimes sleeping until 4 or 5 am! Our firstborn never slept that well, so this has been a much enjoyed surprise for me and my husband.

Johnson's and Hallmark have teamed up to create an adorable Good-night Kisses Baby Gift Set. We were very excited to receive a set to enjoy with Baby S. The set includes an adorable plush owl, Goodnight Kisses book, Johson's Baby Shampoo, Bedtime Bath, and Lavender Lotion. The products were place in a cute storage basket, which is perfect for keeping in the bathroom, or at the changing table.

We have just started bathing Baby S in submersion baths. We do sink baths right now, which she really seems to enjoy. The bath is such a warm and relaxing spot for S to chill out in the evenings, as we're ready to wind down for the night. The Johnson's Baby Shampoo is a gentle formula. We use it about once a week, as S has fairly dry skin, and doesn't bathe every day. When she's a little older, she'll have a bath more often during the week. We also love using the bedtime bath... it's so calming, and the lavender scent is intoxicating. I love that my son enjoys helping out at baby bathtime- it helps him understand how we care for him when he was a baby, and helps him bond with his baby sister.

The Johnson's Lavender Lotion is one of my favorite Johnson products. I used this on B when he was a baby, and he just loved it! S loves it, too. We spend a little time after we towel dry her, doing a gentle massage with the lotion. She loves the skin to skin contact, and gentle massage. It absolutely gets her into a very sleepy mood.

A sweet story for bedtime- Goodnight Kisses!

When we're ready to settle down, S spends time nursing, and I usually sing to her, talk to her, or read her a story. Sometimes B sits in with us and reads a story, as well. I love the Godnight Kisses book- it is so very sweet. It brings tears to my eyes as I read it to Baby S- I am cherishing each and every special moment with her, just as I did (and still do) with my son. They don't stay little for long- so I savor every coo, every cuddle, and every wiff I get of milky baby breath. I know that one day, I will long to have it all again.

The plush owl is just adorable! S can't really play with it yet, because it's a bit large. S can, however, stare at the owl for what seems like hours! She loves the colors, and just looks at it and smiles and laughs when she sees it. It's become one of our favorite little friends! For an older baby, it's the perfect cuddly pal!
