With Father's Day around the corner, I have been searching high and low for unique Father's Day gifts. I love my dad, and love to spoil him when I am able to... after all, he's been spoiling me my whole life. My husband is a Plain Jane sort of guy when it comes to his desserts, so it's not often that we have dessert toppings in our house. I was delighted to find four beautifully packaged dessert toppings in the gift crate. Imagine my eyes when I discovered three chocolate toppings, and a caramel topping! Mmm! My imagination began to run wild, thinking of all of the uses for these delicious toppings. I couldn't wait to try them all out!
The Dark Chocolate Hot Fudge Topping
I absolutely love hot fudge. I have been known to ask my husband to drive to one of the local ice cream shops to get me a hot fudge sundae at 8 pm on a weeknight! I can't resist that sweet, gooey chocolate melting over vanilla ice cream. It's one of my favorite flavors ever! The Sanders Dark Chocolate Hot Fudge Topping is absolutely delicious! I removed the lid, and warmed the topping for a few seconds before pouring it over some ice cream, and it took what would have been a boring desset to a whole new level!
I enjoyed the Dark Chocolate Hot Fudge drizzled over some pound cake with fresh strawberries. Yum!
Exrta Dark Chocolate Hot Fudge? Yes please!
Extra drk chocolate is another favorite flavor of mine. I love it because it's not too sweet, and pair so well with fruits such as cherries, strawberries, and raspberries. Our local stores have had such beutiful berry produce lately, that I bought two bins of strawberries. I have been enjoying them by dipping them into the Sanders Extra Dark Chocolate Hot Fudge! This is a decadent dessert that I can enjoy anytime, and I don't have to feel too terribly guilty about it. One of these days, I'll have to try the topping drizzled over some plain cheesecake, with a strawberry on top- that would be the ultimate dessert for me!
Milk Chocolate Hot Fudge- a classic!
Every now and then, we like to surprise our son with an ice cream bar on a weekend. We load up our table with ice cream toppings, and let him go crazy. The Sanders Milk Chocolate Hot Fudge is a perfect addition to any ice cream party. It has a beautiful, silky milk chocolate flavor that adds a special chocolately kick to any ice cream or other dessert you might choose to enjoy it with. The Milk Chocolate Hot Fudge definitely has my five-year-old's vote for best chocolate fudge topping!
Delicious Caramel Dessert Topping.
Caramel isn't one of those toppings that I purchase often, but it's another flavor that I love. I love caramel paired with sea salt and chocolate! I have enjoyed the caramel with slices of green apples as a special treat. I have also enjoyed it poured over vanilla ice cream, with warm caramelized bananas and apples. Talk about a rich dessert!
All four of these gourmet dessert toppings from Sanders Candy are delicious! They come in 20 oz glass jars, which is enough to last all summer long! They feature raisin juice, which I thought was quite interesting, and which gives these toppings a unique flavor, all their own. The toppings are gluten free, which is also wonderful!
