You guys know that I love my Crock Pot. It is so nice to come home to dinner basically ready to eat!! I bought a whole chicken at the grocery store for less than $5.00. I have never cooked a chicken but my friend does all the time and says it is such a good meal. So, I decided to try it. I was told to put some balls of aluminium foil on the bottom and lay the chicken on that. I really don't know why but I did it:) This was a super easy meal that was delicious!!
Excited to cook this in my crock pot.
Foil in the bottom.
This is what I seasoned the chicken with.
Pull out the insides (something I have never done) and wash your chicken. Pat dry.
I rubbed the season salt all over the outside and put on the inside of chicken.
Ready to cook.
2 hours in...starting to smell good.
4 hours in...can't wait to eat.
Done! I had been checking it so excuse how it looks:)
It was very juicy.
Aiden's plate at dinner. This was a success!!
Here's what I did:
I removed the insides of the chicken. Wash the chicken and pat it dry. Use your choice of seasoning. Rub over the entire chicken and put some on the inside of the chicken. I placed 4 balls of foil on the bottom of crock pot before placing my chicken in the crock pot. Place chicken in and cook on low for 6 1/2 - 8 hours or on high for 4 hours. Just check while cooking and use your judgement on time.
Enjoy!!
