Hey, readers! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas, and/or whatever awesome winter holiday it is that you celebrate! Mine was wonderful but it didn't start out that way!

This year, I was ready to string up my husband because he made it sound like he didn't get me anything and didn't really want to be bothered with shopping for me. Now I know the reason of the season isn't getting gifts, but when your husband acts like he doesn't even care about you have worked really hard to get him nice and thoughtful things, it hurts a bit. I went into Christmas morning with PJs I bought for myself, a stocking full of underwear, a toothbrush and socks that I bought myself tucked in with a pair of Harry Potter earrings that I knew I was getting and three presents from my hubs, two of which I knew what they were... not overly exciting at this point. However, on Christmas Day when all the presents were opened Josh (who is NOT unpredictable at all) said to wait because he had one more present for me. I was totally confused at this point because I thought I knew everything I was getting and I knew Josh hadn't gone out and bought anything, thanks join bank account! So what could it be?! Josh came downstairs with a junky unwrapped box that was super heavy. I hesitantly opened the box and was shocked when I saw bricks. I was ticked at first thinking it was a joke but I noticed something else in the box. After I moved the bricks, I pulled out a letter stating that Josh is taking me on vacation! 

Josh and I never had a honeymoon, and we've only gone on vacation together with my family so you can imagine how excited/shocked I was. I could hardly believe how sneaky Josh had been, he can't keep anything from me. In the letter it said I could pick between going to Harry Potter World, I'm the world's biggest HP fan like you have NO idea, or going on a cruise!! I was so excited I actually got a little teary-eyed. Josh really pulled one over on me! He secretly had extra money taken out of his taxes so when we do our tax returns we will get the money for our vacation. He did this knowing that we couldn't spend the savings this way and I would never know what he was doing... it would be a little weird if he started saving extra money, the man loves to spend! 

So now, for the next few months, you will periodically see some blogs about me prepping for our first real vacation together. Did I pick Harry Potter World or a cruise you might ask? Well, you'll just have to wait and see!
