Thank you to Go-Kiddo for providing me with product, free of charge, in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.
Kids love to play, and at our hose, we love to encourage imaginative, active play time. It can be sort of difficult during the fall and winter months, to get time to play outdoors, if the temperatures are too chilly. So far, we're having a pretty mild late fall in NC, where temps are still climbing into the 60's in the afternoons. I still have half of my garden blooming! We try to take advantage of as many warm afternoons as we can- whether we just go far walks, or play out in the yard. B is taking more of an interest in things he can ride on, but is shying away from some of his little kid outdoor toys, so we knew it would be time for something new and exciting for him,
Go-Kiddo is Trikke Tech’s new ride-on toy division, presenting a new, fun look and feel to capture the playful spirit that encourages kids to get out there and ride! Kids ride for fun first, and then continue to get all the wonderful benefits that come from active riding.
Trikke has been designing, building and distributing its three-wheel carving scooters since 2000 and is the world leader in its field, having sold over half million units around the globe. Trikke’s patented cambering (leaning) technology and platform has been deployed for toys, fitness vehicles (even in school PE programs), and robust electric vehicles used by commuters and Law Enforcement.
They know that it is important to start young and progress with the right ride (equipment) and stay excited. Go-Kiddo offers rides from toddler to teen, with a dose of challenge, the right amount of exercise and tons on fun. From balance bikes to carving scooters, electric carving tricycles and a lot more to come. Go-Kiddo will keep kids engaged on the thrill of riding on wheels.
We were excited for the opportunity to team up with Go-Kiddo, to check out their awesome T5 Carving Scooter... and let me tell you, this isn't your average scooter!
We were sent the T5 Carving Scooter in orange and blue.
Our scooter arrived in a cool box, with a carrying handle. It weighed in total about 15 pounds. Light enough for me to pick up and move on my own. I worried about having to put the scooter together though. I secretly hoped it was already put together, and folded up in the box.
Not so much... here are the contents of the box.
The scooter parts were all wrapped up, and well packaged.
It did take a while to unearth all of the pieces of the scooter. They were so well wrapped, that we had to cut some of the plastic off to remove the pieces. There were also zip ties around several of the pieces, to hold them in place. I was glad my husband was around when the scooter arrived, because I really didn't want to mess with having to put it together.
Here are the main scooter pieces, out of the box and wrapping- three wheels and a handle bar.
Hubby worked at putting the scooter together for about half an hour. He said he wished the directions had been a bit more clear. Some of the small pieces gave him a little trouble as he tried to attach them, but once he got the hang of it, the rest of the process went quickly and smoothly.
The end result was awesome! The scooter is such a cool design, and it's designed specifically for kids around B's age 5+. B has never had a scooter before, and I love this one, because it will be easier for him to balance on. I won't have to worry so much about it tipping over, either. B won't actually see his awesome scooter until Christmas, and I can't wait to see his reaction!
One of the things I love most about this scooter, is that it's fold able. We don't have a lot of storage space, nor do we have a garage, so the fact that we can fold this up and store it on our back porch or in our storage shed is a huge plus!

ReplyDeleteI grew up in the mountains in southwest virginia and we had a cow pasture on three sides of our house. I was an only child until I was 10 so I spent a lot of time chasing cows and swimming in the cow pond.

We loved to play hide and seek and "dungeon" (where we'd tag people to put them in the dungeon and their team had to untag them to get them out)...hours of laughter and fun:)
