Glorious Gifts for the Gardener's Soul from Gardener's Supply + Fairy Dust Ball #Giveaway

Thank you to Gardener's Supply for providing me with product, free of charge, in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.

This time of year, things can be a bit drab and dreary for gardeners. I have a gardener's heart, and a meager budget, so I do what I can year round to make my soul happy, and give a little back to the earth. Right now, temps are so mild that my plants think it's spring, and I have daylillies, irises, snapdragons, and coneflower trying to bloom! I'm mot used to having blooms for Christmas, so I usually turn to my outdoor decor to add a little color, charm, and curb appeal to my bungalow. I love decorating our cozy cottage for the holidays, and this year, I received some awesome Christmas decor and gifts from my friends at Gardener's Supply!

Gardener's Supply

Gardener's Supply Co. has a great selection of gifts for the garden, and the home! Gardener's Supply has been 100% employee-owned since 2009! That means that you can expect nothing less than the very best from Gardener's Supply Co., because its employees own the business, and truly care about their products and their customers! Gardener's Supply is based in Vermont (a beautiful state!), and was founded over 25 years ago, and founded by Will Raap.

I have been a big fan of Gardener's Supply Co. and their awesome collection of garden tools, decor, and more, for the past few years. Gardener's Supply has a beautiful collection of gifts for the gardener in your life this season, and sent me some garden goodies to experience and share about.

I couldn't wait to see my Gardener's Supply products!

I loved the products I received from Gardener's Supply last year, and knew that I would love these new products just as much. There were so many great gift ideas that I had a hard time selecting a few, but when I finally narrowed it down, I was very happy with my choices!

I chose a beautiful red colored solar light finial for our front yard. I don't do a whole lot to decorate in our backyard area for the holidays, because we don't spend a ton of time out there. I love to light up the outdoors for the holidays. There's just something about driving down the road and seeing all of the pretty Christmas lights (yes, even when it's 65 degrees) that really puts you in a great mood.

The Finial Solar Stake came wrapped in bubble wrap.

The finial globe is made of a shatterproof plastic.

I love that the globe is shatterproof! When you have lots of little critters running around your property, and have little kids, shatterproof ornaments are a must! The finial stake was really just in two pieces. The stake did have to be connected, but it was no big deal.

The stake was in three pieces, so all I had to do was fit them together...

...and then add the finial globe to the top.

Here's what it looked like, after I put it together. Beautiful!

I couldn't wait to get outside and put the Garden Finial Solar Stake in my front yard. If I had a whole bunch of them, I would light our walk-way with them. I made sure to turn the solar switch to 'on,' on the bottom of the solar panel, attached to the stake. This way, the stake soaks up the sun all day long, and then lights up the night!

I placed the finial stake in my front flower bed, near the bird feeder.

I love the way the solar light looks out there... but now I want another one.

I love seeing the old mercury glass-like finial out in my yard for Christmas. There are also silver and light blue colors available, and I would love to get those to decorate with in January!

Solar Garden Stakes Rekindle the Charm of Bygone Days

Solar-powered ornaments light up the night — no cords required
Graceful onion shape is a timeless, festive accent
Distinctive crackled appearance replicates the vintage appeal of antique mercury glass
Sturdy plastic to withstand year-round weather
Inspired by vintage mercury glass ornaments, these eye-catching solar-powered orbs sparkle in the sun and provide a dazzlingly festive nightly display. The memorable onion shape and dramatic size create an impactful impression, especially when presented in groups. Sturdy plastic to last through many seasonal celebrations. No outlet or extension cord needed, so you can place these finials wherever your creativity leads. Their glittering light looks amazing lining a walkway, accenting a winter garden or offering a warm welcome at your front door. Solar-powered cells absorb energy on sunny days, and automatically illuminate at dusk. Approximately 6 hours of light per night. Display in full sun.

I also received a beautiful Fairy Dust Ball!

I was so excited about the Fairy Dust Ball from Gardener's Supply! It's battery operated, and has LED lights inside. It's a beautiful, shimmery gold colored glass orb, which hangs from a hook- perfect for the garden or the porch during the holidays! The Fairy Dust Ball was packaged well, and after I removed it from the box, I had a chance to admire it.

I removed the lid, and placed 3 AAA batteries into the orb. It has a built in timer, and it's set to run for about 6 hours. Once you set the timer, that's it- you don't need to set it again.

Here's what the fairy dust ball looks like, siply hanging from a shepher's hook in my front yard.

There is a tight fitting covering over the orb, which protects the battery/timer from the elements. It's safe for outside use, as long as the cover is secured. The orb lights up in the day or night, and gives a lovely, soft glow! I love that it sort of looks like a Christmas ornament, hanging outside with the rest of my decor.

The lights are actually on in this photo, which was taken on a rain day... they look so pretty at night time, as well!

I love the way the Fairy Dust Ball looks with the rest of my holiday decor.

Though I initially planned on just keeping the Fairy Dust Ball out for the holiday season, I think that I'll leave it out all year long. It'll still give a soft glow through the winter, spring, suumer (when we love to hang out on our porch), and fall.

Battery Operated LED Globe Light Shines by Day and Night

Add a magical touch to porch or landscape
Battery-powered, so you can hang them in the shade
Built-in timer; set it once and it turns on at the same time each day
By day they’re shiny golden orbs. At night, pinpoints of light emerge like fairy dust floating in mid-air, bringing a touch of magic to any setting. They're battery-powered so you can hang them anywhere, even in the shade (unlike solar versions that must be placed in full sun). These glass globes are simply delightful hanging from your porch or from tree limbs. A built-in timer turns the LEDs inside on for 6 hours, off for 18, repeating each day. Set it once and they'll turn on at the same time every day!

And lastly, we received a Mozxarella & Ricotta Homemade Cheese Kit!

I know what you may be thinking... a homemade cheese kit? Yes! It's such a great gift idea! My husband has been obsessed with fresh Mozzarella cheese since he went back to NJ/NY for the first time in several years, about two summers ago. He has been hinting that he really wants to learn how to make it himself, so we can have it at home, any time we want, without the expense of having to buy it at the store (because it can be pretty pricey).

This cool kit for the wanna-be cheesemaker in your life has everything they'll need to get started!

The kit includes directions, and enough ingredients to make about 30 whole balls of fresh Mozzarella Cheese! Yum!

The cheese salt, acid, muslin, etc is all in this little bag- everything you need to make fresh cheese at home.

We love both Ricotta and Mozzarella Cheese, but I have a feeling that Mozarella will win out, and we'll be making a lot of it. We have an herb garden. so I can't wait to toss this fresh Mozzarella with fresh basil and cherry tomatoes for a summer salad! It'll also be delicious sliced over homemade pizzas! Mmm!

Homemade Mozzarella and Ricotta in 30 Minutes!

A fun and easy way to make homemade cheese
Fresh, delicious mozzarella or ricotta cheese in just 30 minutes
Use cow's milk, goat's milk or powdered milk
Make fresh, natural cheese with flavors and textures that far outshine mass-produced supermarket fare! Imagine serving your own gourmet mozzarella with garden-fresh tomatoes and basil or as a pizza topping. Homemade ricotta cheese is delightful in dips and lasagna. Our DIY cheesemaking kit contains enough ingredients to make 30 batches — just add milk.
