In our house, we have our fair share of 'oops' moments. I am clumsy, and my son has inherited my clumsiness, as well. My husband has a knack for knocking over cups at the dining table, and when you have small children, spills are just inevitable. My five year old son still loves to drink out of a cup with a spout and a lid, and I have to tell you, if their disappearances wouldn't be cause for a major meltdown, I would just pitch them, I do everything I can to encourage B to use a real cup, but then there are those darn 'oops' moments, where I wish I had just handed him the sippy cup instead.

No parent wants to spend a chunk of their day cleaning up spills, or worrying about broken glass from adult cups getting knocked to the floor- it's a definite safety concern. As a parent, I was certainly intrigued by the idea of my son being able to use real glass cups, which would be protected by a silicone wrap- keeping him safe, and giving me peace of mind.

We were sent a set of two glass tumblers wrapped in silicone, by Silikids.

B was so excited that these Silikids cups were just like mommy and daddy's grown up glasses. We're not fans of plastic cups, everything we drink from is glass, except for B's cups- until now! The silicone wrap covers pretty much the entire glass. The silicone makes the glasses easy to grip, preventing a slip from the hand. While the glass itself isn't shatter-proof, if dropped, it is mostly protected by the silicone, and has a slim chance of breaking. If the glass does happen to break, replacement glasses can be purchased, as well.

The silicone wrap features fun designs in bright colors, which kids will love!

B really loves to pick up his Silikids cups. He has knocked the cups over a couple of times, but we've merely encountered spills, instead of worrying about glass breaking. B enjoys running his fingers over the bumps in the design that stick up from the silicone wrap. To clean, these can be hand washed, or they can go right into the dishwasher.
