FOUR SEASONS FORD AND THE HENDERSONVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT
PARTNER FOR NATIONAL CHILD SAFETY AND PROTECTION MONTH
Car Seat Checks and Lunch Provided Nov. 21 for Western North Carolina Families
Hendersonville, N.C. – Four Seasons Ford will host car seat checks in partnership with
the Hendersonville Fire Department on Nov. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in recognition of
National Child Safety and Protection Month. Western North Carolina families are invited
and the Four Seasons Ford staff will serve a complimentary lunch.
“Earlier this year it was reported that 46 percent of all car seats in the United States are
installed incorrectly,” said John Sutterfield, general manager at Four Seasons Ford. “We
take those statistics to heart and want to give families every opportunity to ensure their
children ride safely.”
In May 2015, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released the National
Child Restraint Use Special Study conducted in 2011, observing the use of car seats and
booster seats for child passengers from birth to 8 years old in 4,167 vehicles. The study
found that one or more misuses existed in 46 percent of all car seats and booster seats.
