I couldn't wait to open up the kit to explore a bit. The package shows that this kit is for ages 8+, which I thought was a perfect gift option for Cousin C, who just turned 11, and is at that hard to buy for age (so much easier with girls that age, because they like getting clothes and cute things!). I also wondered if this would make a good gift for B? He just turned five, but loves to explore. It might be a cool joint present for the 'boy cousins,' so they could use it together, as they love to spend time together.

Here's the Pay Dirt, vial and tweezers that come with the set.

To use, simply use the pay dirt in the panning tray, and then sort through with the tweezers. Grab the gold with the tweezers, and place into the vial for safe-keeping.

The pan is a great size- perfect for two kids to use and enjoy at once.

I am thinking of buying an additional set of tweezers, and giving this set as a joint gift. I think the cousins will have a ball trying to find the possible $100.00 worth of gold in the Pay Dirt that comes with this set. Hmm... I wonder what those two would do with $100.00? Lots of trips for Frozen Yogurt, would be my guess!
