Happy Saturday! Can you believe it's already October 3rd? This month is pretty eventful for us because both Matt and I are October babies, we just celebrated our 18 year dating anniversary on the 1st, and Halloween is coming up! 

I have enjoyed Halloween since I was a little one. Free candy? Yes please! However, it's an entirely different ball game when you have kids. This year, Drew wants to be Mal from the Disney movie "Descendants".  Apparently, quite a few young ladies wanted to be Mal for Halloween, because we cannot find the costume in stock at any store, and the oh so considerate people (sarcasm)  who bought a bunch of the costumes, just to turn around and sell them on Amazon and Ebay for at least double the price are not getting our money!  Thankfully, Reese has requested to be the Little Mermaid and that costume seems relatively easy to find! 

Right now, I'm trying to be organized enough to find an awesome gift for Matt and get it here in time for his birthday. You'd think after 18 years (literally half of our lives!) together, I'd have this down, but I don't. I think it's gotten harder to find him awesome gifts. 

After Matt's birthday, I'll put my focus on planning Drew's birthday party, which is in November. I, thankfully, already have a theme and gift in mind. Thankfully, Drew is a lot easier to shop for, because she's at an age where she will just let you know what she'd like, but it's not something like a $100+ pair of shoes or a high priced gadget (I'm dreading the teen years).
