Monday Motivation: Ted for Moms

I'm sure many of you have heard of TED Talks. Here's a description from the website if you aren't familiar with them:
  1. TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages.
I've watched a few and have many friends who have attended when they have sessions in Winston-Salem or Charlotte, but I always assumed they were for CEOs, business men and women, computer geeks, or super creative people. Did you know there are TED talks just for you mom?

This playlist includes eight talks by famous moms such as Michelle Obama and Sheryl Sandberg, as well as moms who have accomplished and inspired great things. If you're feeling like you can't change the world, guess what...you do every day, and these talks are just for you.

If you feel like women with professional roles outside the home are more important than you, guess what...you are CEO of the most important business on earth. When people ask what I do, sometimes, just for fun, instead of saying I am a stay at home mom, I say I am something like 'Project Director of the G.W. Santillo Charitable Trust' or 'Editor-in-Chief of Santillo Publications.' I've seen some great ones on people's Facebook and LinkedIn pages, too. Do you have a fun way of referring to your role as mommy?
