We're just about ready to head back to school for the new school year. Parent orientation is in just a couple of weeks, followed by the open house for students, and B can't wait to meet his new teachers. B has already decided that his favorite part of the back to school season is getting a new backpack... and this year, B has decided that he wants to stay after school for an hour on Wednesdays for the Lunch Bunch group. This would mean that B would need a lunch box, as well as a backpack. B certainly has his own opinion when it comes to these things, so I was excited to have him help me select a backpack and lunch box for this school year.

We have been fans of Stephen Joseph's adorable children's products for a long time. B's very first backpack was a Stephen Joseph toddler backpack, which he loved. We were excited for the opportunity to select a Stephen Joseph Backpack and Lunch box for the new school year. With so many styles and designs to choose from, we had a hard time making up our minds! B had the final word when it came to choosing the design, which was a lot of fun for him.
B was over the moon when his Stephen Joseph package arrived in the mail!
B chose the Rocket ship design in both the backpack and lunch box. Needless to say, he was out of this world excited to see them in person!
Both items were individually packed and wrapped, to prevent any type of scratching or damage during shipping.
Stephen Joseph offers a large variety of backpacks, totes, bags, and lunch boxes. With so many styles available, I tried to choose the backpack that would best serve our needs this school year. B doesn't need a large backpack just yet, but does need one large enough to carry a folder home in. We decided that the Go Go Backpack would be perfect for B's last year of preschool, allowing him room to bring things home, and being a good size for him, as well.

Since B is tall and broad for his age, this design is perfect for him. It has more room than his old quilted backpack. One of the best features (for me), is that this is a vinyl bag, with appliqued design. I can easily wipe down the inside or outside of the bag for quick cleaning!
The inside of the bag is roomy, too! We put it to the test when we went on vacation, and allowed B to bring along his new backpack. He kept his backseat items in it- like activity books, his LeapPad, headphones, small toys, etc. It was more than enough room for the items he wanted to bring along on the 10 hour car ride!
The backpack straps are adjustable, so we can lengthen or shorten those as we need to/as B hits those growth spurts. It also has a top loop, for easy hanging. B can't wait to hang it on his classroom hook at school! The backpack is a comfortable fit for B, and we're looking forward to having his name embroidered at the top before school starts!

The lunch bag is fully insulated inside, which will help keep foods warm or cool. It also features a mesh pocket, and a velcro strap.
The velcro strap allows you to secure a drink bottle, utensils, etc.
If I need to send utensils to school, I will tuck them into the mesh pocket, along with a napkin and a love note!
I love that the lunch bag can be easily cleaned- wiped out or washed. It zips on three sides, has an easy to hold handle, perfect for little hands. B has no trouble opening or closing the lunch bag by himself. B won't have lunch at school every day, but he has requested to stay after school on Wednesdays for the Lunch Bunch program. He stays one hour after school, to play and eat his lunch with his friends, once a week. I'm new to the whole 'school lunch' game, but I think it will be a piece of cake with this fantastic lunch bag, and B already loves it, of course!
