Incidental Sun Exposure
A new survey conducted by GfK Custom Research North America and commissioned by NO-AD Skin Care found that a majority of Americans mistakenly believe they receive most of their total lifetime sun exposure from extended outdoor activities like going to the beach. "Actually those activities account for a mere 20 percent of lifetime sun exposure," said Brevard, Fla.-based dermatologist Dr. Richard C. Kirkpatrick. "In fact, 80 percent comes from daily incidental sun exposure, such as in driving to the store, walking the dog, or just sitting indoors next to a sunny window."  Kirkpatrick stressed that incidental sun exposure accumulates incrementally and prematurely ages the skin.

SSCR CEO Stuart J. Straus observed that when most consumers think about "anti-aging protection," they think of a product just for the face. "Beauty is more than face deep," he said. "No matter how much attention you give your face, it's the constant UV skin damage to your neck, chest, arms, and legs that can give away your age. It’s why you need to apply body lotion daily to any exposed skin. This need for total body skin care — an all-day, everyday, all-the-time, anti-aging lotion that delivers SPF 15 protection — is precisely why NO-AD jumped into the highly competitive skin care category."

NO-AD Breaks Into Skin Care Category
Straus noted that, at 46 cents per ounce each, NO-AD Skin Care lotions cost half what competing SPF body lotions do — and yet those other lotions don’t contain NO-AD’s high-quality anti-aging ingredients. They will be available starting March 2015 at select Wal-Mart stores, walmart.com, drugstore.com, and HEB, as well as food, drug, and mass market retailers.

Survey Says Americans Unaware of Incidental Sun Exposure
The NO-AD Skin Care survey points to the need for greater consumer education about the dangerous aging effect on the body of daily incidental sun exposure. Key findings:
·       Very few Americans (just 5%) apply any type of sun protection to their body daily. 
·       Many Americans underestimate the damage to their skin from brief daily sun exposures — in fact, fewer than half (48%) agree that short exposures to the sun cause a lot of skin damage.
·       Most Americans (72%) say they only worry about sun exposure if they are going to be in the sun for a long time, such as at the beach, pool, park, etc.
·       A majority (51%) worry more about daily sun exposure on "my face than about other exposed skin, like my hands and arms."

Survey Methodology
The study was conducted online using the GfK “KnowledgePanel,” an online probability-based panel designed to be representative of the U.S. general population, not just the online population. The study consisted of 1012 interviews conducted between Oct. 24 and Oct. 26, 2014 among adults aged 18+. The margin of error is +/-3 percentage points.

I love the sun and I love to have a tan and always have!!  I grew up  spending my summers at the beach and back in those days didn't even know what sunscreen was.  And of course, never wore any.  But I do realize how important it is now.  I do good getting sunscreen on Aiden but sometimes don't even think about myself.  I needed anti aging tools that I could use in the morning while I was already sitting there getting ready.  I had just bought a pretty expensive tube of face moisturizer with sunscreen about a week before receiving the No-Ad sample.  I really was not liking the expensive cream I had bought because I felt very thick on my face.  I felt like I was sweating underneath it.  I have been using the No-Ad for 2 weeks and I love it.  It has a fresh scent and goes on very light and smooth.  It absorbs quickly and I haven't felt like I had an extra layer of skin.  I love that my face has felt so soft and smooth after applying it.  I do have some sun damage on my face from all my years in the sun while growing up.  I am hoping that with continued use they will lighten up.  And it takes just a small squirt.  The first time I used way too much but the good thing about it was it's an all-over sunscreen so I was able to use the extra on my arms.  I have had an easier time remembering to do my own sunscreen since I have made it apart of my morning routine.  Another big plus is that No-Ad can be purchased at drugstores for a very reasonable price.  So head over to your local store and check out the No-Ad products.  Your skin will thank you!!
