Crepes All Around - Velata #Review

I'm always looking to expand my cooking horizons because as my husband says I'm good at reheating. I can cook, honestly I can, but after working all day I'm not always into the idea of making an extravagant dinner so frozen pizza, salads, different types of baked chicken (using frozen chicken breasts) are usually my go to. I like simple, I like easy, and I like quick!
Presented by Kim Getchell, MBP Spotlight Sponsor

Breakfast is a pretty easy dinner to whip up on the nights that I don’t want to cook but I don’t know how to make pancakes or waffles without using frozen products and a toaster. That’s not a bad thing because egos are awesome and delicious but they aren’t homemade.  Luckily for me, our lovely spotlight sponsor and independent Velata consultant Kim sent me the new Velata Crepe Maker.

What is a crepe you may ask? It’s a delicious French “pancake” that can be filled, stuffed, and topped with literally anything! Just for fun I thought Id let Ricky Bobby and rest of the boys from Talladega Nights explain them to you.

When I was traveling through Europe I had the opportunity to eat legit crepes in France and I knew there was never any way that I would be able to pull off the delicate and time consuming process of making them myself. With the Velta Crepe Maker, that isn't a problem. Velata makes crepes as easy as 1, 2, 3! You literally just mix, dip, and flip.

Here is a video I made of me making crepes. Please excuse the random barking of my insane toddler dog that thinks I need to pay attention to her every second of the day.

If I can use this awesome new kitchen gadget from Velata and Kim then anyone can. After you make your killer crepes, you can use some of these delicious sounding recipes from Allrecipes.com .

Josh and I are really trying to watch what we eat so I knew I didn’t want to make our crepes full of calories so I used thawed frozen mixed berries with a little low fat whip cream. SO delicious and not many calories! I served them with a small serving of eggs with dill… very posh for our house!

Want it? Buy it!

If you are interested in making your own delicious crepes the easy way check out Velata and pick up your own crepe maker. While you’re getting your crepe maker, make sure to check out all the other yummy Velata products! I really like the fondu!

Special thanks to Kim Getchell and Velata for sponsoring this awesome review. I love my crepe maker and will get a lot of use out of it!!
