The Legend of Korra Book Three: Change Synopses:

In Book One, Korra struggles to fight an anti-bender movement led by a mysterious masked leader, Amon. In Book Two, Korra and Team Avatar embark on a new journey deep into the mythology of the mystical Spirit World to defeat a dark spirit once and for all. Book Three starts with the world entering a new age as Korra discovers that new Airbenders are popping up all over the Earth Kingdom. She makes it her mission to find them and rebuild the Air Nation, but when a group of dangerous criminals breaks out of prison, they have a dangerous mission of their own.

DVD Run Time: Approximately 294 minutes

Just a Little More Information:
This epic series continues to be exciting and adventurous. The series was voted as IGN's Best TV Animated Series in 2012 and was the only animated series on the annual list of iTunes Best TV Shows of 2013. Book Three premiered on Nickelodeon in June 2013 and averaged 1.3 million viewers. To capitalize on the online fanbase, the last 5 episodes of Book Three premiered exclusively across digital platforms.

Our Thoughts:
Our package from Nickelodeon is here!
"I know this is a video, what could it be?"
"Yep, it's a movie."
The Legend of Korra Book Three: Change

In our last review of Book Two, we had never before seen or heard of The Legend of Korra. Now that we were at least familiar with the series, we knew the background of what happened and we were able to follow the episodes in Book Three much easier.

Korra, the main character, who is also an amazingly powerful female is met with more challenges. B isn't a huge fan of her being a girl, but that hasn't kept him from watching the episodes. The animation again is very strong, at least from someone who doesn't really see a lot of this type of style. The episodes take place for the most part in the Earth Kingdom, one of the main nations and new Airbenders are emerging. The group is trying to form an larger group to help fight the dangerous people who have escaped the prison. There is more fighting in this book than I would normally like, which I feel isn't appropriate for B to watch too much of.  B enjoys the Avatar aspect and seems to be drawn in more to that than to actually watch Korra's storylines. I do feel these DVD episodes are geared more to older viewers and probably can hold their attention much better than it does for B. This style is definitely outside our normal realm of TV and movies, but is something interesting for us to see.
