In our home, we really love setting the scene for the holidays. Decorating my home for Christmas is one of my favorite holiday activities. It brings me a sense of joy, and brings back a lot of memories that are tied to ornaments and special decorations. In my opinion, there's no such things as having too many Christmas or holiday themed decor pieces, especially when they serve a purpose.

 I enjoy entertaining year round, and love it when guests pop by for a visit. I always make sure that I have plenty of coffee and tea on hand, and a little nibble that can be thrown together and brought out at a moment's notice. Serving those treats, is another story, I have a lot of beautiful serving pieces, but they're all either put away (where I can't easily get to them), or are just too fancy for your every day service. I have wanted a casual serving tray for quite a long time, and was approached by Picture It on Canvas, and offered the opportunity to try one of their beautiful photo trays out for myself.

I really wanted to use a cute photo of B on our serving tray, however, I had few pictures that were of good enough quality for printing- the resolution was too low, since I take most all of my photos from  my phone. I was pretty bummed about that, but should have known that would be the case. I have since gotten a beautiful new camera (as a Christmas gift), and have been taking photos on it like mad!

There were several cute photo and pattern options for me to choose from on the Picture It on Canvas website, though. I wanted to go with a holiday theme, and loved the designs that were available.

After I made my selection, and sent it in to the kind folks over at Picture It on Canvas, all I had to do was wait for my tray to be created and shipped! Just a few days after I placed my order, their was a package at my door.

My Picture It on Canvas package had a big 'Do Not Drop' sticker on it. I hoped that my package carrier paid attention to it. 

I opened my package to find my tray completely cushioned and protected by thick bubble wrap.

I caught a glimpse of the serving tray, but couldn't wait to get the wrap off of it, so I could really see what it looked like!

The Black Espresso Serving Tray is so beautiful! I love the finish, and the easy to grab handles.

I wish that I had this pretty tray for a few weeks before Christmas, because it would have been so nice to have to set out for serving treats to my guests. Even though this particular pattern is Christmas themed, I feel that it feels wintry, and I plan on leaving it out and using it through the month of January. I wanted to display it in an area where it would be seen and enjoyed, so I placed it on top of my sideboard in the dining room.

I can easily pick this sturdy tray up and move it from place to place. It's a wonderful showpiece, or makes a practical serving tray. It looks lovely when it's stacked with coffee mugs and a small plate of treats, or a tea pot. I may choose to place a small placemat over the image on the tray, and use it year round- it's too lovely to put away until next Christmas.
