Holiday Gift Guide 2014: So Merry and Bright: RTGS {Review and Giveaway}

As much as I am not ready, the stores are filled with Christmas gear and I have seen decorations and lights going up in different places. While I do love the holiday season, I like to celebrate Thanksgiving and all the things I am thankful for in my life. We do put up a few small Thanksgiving decorations around our house, mostly crafts the kids have made, but it is nice to have a new addition to spruce it up.

We were contacted by a company that really helped out in my Fall decorations this year. I can't wait to share them with you, your holidays may just become a little brighter!
RTGS, was launched in 2009, with a passion for lighting products that are of the highest standards of passion, creativity, and quality. RTGS has a mission to create lighting that is well designed and offer energy efficient LED technology. They are continuously growing the product lines to be simple yet beautiful, well constructed, and unique. They also strive to offer exceptional customer service from order to delivery and beyond.
We worked with Robert, who was thrilled to partner with MBP and have us share their products. This time of year is such a great season for lighting products and RTGS would be soon offering more product lines they wanted everyone to know about.
I browsed the RTGS site and came up with a list of their products that I felt would best suit our home and needs. I know that RTGS really wants their customers to have products that produce a magical feel, so I was excited to see them in person. Our order and tracking information came via email so we knew they were on their way.
Our RTGS package is here!
Safely packed away in a box and wrapped in paper for extra padding.
Inside the box, I found three separate boxes of RTGS products.
The 60 Micro LED String Lights, the 30 Micro LED String Lights, and the 20 Micro LED String Lights

The first product is the RTGS 60 Micro LED String Lights with outdoor battery box and 3-mode operation. This set retails for $12.95 and comes in three color styles.
This lighting set features:
  • 60 Super Bright Warm White LED lights on ultra thin bendable silver wiring
  • 21' of total length with 4" spacing between bulbs
  • Lights have over 20 year life span and use less energy than regular light strings
  • Able to use indoor or outdoor
  • Wiring and lights can be submersed in water (battery box can not)
  • Requires 6 AA batteries to power for 48 hours on continuous mode or over 14 days on timer mode

I was excited about this set, because not only was it big (21' total), it was also my favorite color of decorative light (warm white). I opened up the package and was really in to what I saw, I have never seen a light set this thin and small. I grabbed my 6 AA batteries (this is a lot so I wasn't thrilled with that fact), and easily put them in the battery box. The on/off switch is actually a 3-mode button on the front of the battery box-Timer Mode(which is 6 hours on/18 hours off), On Mode (continuous mode), and Off Mode. Once I turned them on, the color was very bright, for such small lights I did not expect such brightness.
I used the RTGS 60 Micro LED String Lights on our large mantel. I always have trouble getting lights to be long enough and sit the right way, but these really did the trick. The wiring was easy to bend and shape where I needed it to and the lights really perked up our Fall décor. The only negative to this set is the battery usage, 6 batteries every 2 weeks really can get expensive, so I just have ours set where I can turn it on and off on my own.
I can't wait to see how it will look with my Christmas décor up next month!

The second product is the RTGS 30 Micro LED String Lights with outdoor battery box and 3-mode operation. This set retails for $7.95 and comes in three color styles.
This lighting set features:
  • 30 Super Bright Warm White LED lights on ultra thin bendable silver wiring
  • 11' of total length with 4" spacing between bulbs
  • Lights have over 20 year life span and use less energy than regular light strings
  • Able to be used indoor and outdoor
  • Wiring and lights can be submersed in water (battery box can not)
  • Requires 3 AA batteries to power for 48 hours on continuous mode or over 14 days on timer mode
I was already excited about this set of lights for a few reasons. One-it was a smaller set, still offering great length, but would be perfect for some smaller places I had in mind. Two-the color, warm white is just so homey and inviting while offering a bit of fun too. Three-the battery pack only requires 3 AA batteries, much better than 6. Again, this battery pack offers a 3-mode switch of Timer Mode, On Mode, and Off Mode. The lights were just as bright as the larger 60 set, so I was pleased.
I decided to use the RTGS 30 Micro LED String Lights on our sitting room cabinet. This space sometimes gets forgotten in our house, so the lights really gave it some fun. The lights were a great feature to add to our family photos and few turkeys. The wiring was easy to maneuver and use in this space. Again, even though it only uses 3 AA batteries, I have it so that I can just turn it on and off at my choosing, to save battery life.

The last product is the RTGS 20 Micro LED String Lights. This set retails for $6.25 and comes in 6 color styles (warm white, cold white, bright blue, bright green, bright red, and bright pink).
This lighting set features:
  • 20 Super Bright Pink LED lights on ultra thin bendable silver wiring
  • 7' of total length with 4" spacing between bulbs
  • Lights have over 20 year life span and use less energy than regular light strings
  • Able to used indoors
  • Wiring and lights can be submersed in water (battery box can not)
  • Requires 3 AA batteries to power for 48 hours on continuous mode or over 14 days on timer mode
This light set was such an excitement for S, she knew it would be great in her bedroom. The smaller size and bright pink color would be a perfect fit for the girls' room. You would think with only 20 lights that it would not be bright and beautiful, but this string is really strong and gives off great light.

I used the 20 Micro LED String Lights in the girls room on one of their dressers. They had some cute owl décor on the wall and dresser that the pink lights accented perfectly. I feel like the 3 AA batteries is a bit much to power such a small set of lights, but when used in normal On/Off mode, it really isn't bad. I would really like it to have an outlet plug just so I could use it more often, but not a deal breaker.
