#Funds2Orgs: Fundraisers that Make a Difference

With the school year back in full swing, many of its programs and traditions are in full swing right along with it. Since this is my son's first year in school, I am sort of new to all of the expected 'extras' that go along with being enrolled in school. We saw B's very first school fundraiser flyer come home in his backpack, just last week, and while it's exciting to be a part of something like this, which will support the school, I can't help but wish the fundraiser itself was a bit different. Too often, we're asked to purchase items that we don't need or won't use as part of the fundraising process. It would be all too wonderful to be engaged in a fundraising program that supported the organization, as well as gave back to the community, or blessed others, instead of leaving the participants with more 'stuff.'

Funds2Orgs

I was more than pleased to recently have learned about Funds2Orgs, a professional fundraising company, which puts the focus of the fundraiser not only on the organization involved in raising funds, but also on those in this world who truly need it. Funds2Orgs partners with nonprofits, schools, churches, and civic groups to help them achieve sustainability with REVENUE THAT IS GUARANTEED through engaging, fun fundraisers.

Wouldn't it be great to be part of a unique fundraiser that not only supports your organization, but saves lives and helps others, in the process? We've all heard the phrase, 'We have to be the change we want to see in the world,' and by partnering with Funds2Orgs for a fundraiser, your organization will indeed be igniting change across the globe.

How Does It Work? It All Starts with a Pair of Shoes...

Wanting to make a difference, and meet your fundraising goals? Start a shoe fundraiser through Funds2Orgs! Gently worn, used shoes collected through YOUR shoe drive fundraiser are used in developing nations for impoverished people to start, maintain, and grow a micro-enterprise. By donating used shoes to YOUR organization, individuals are able to provide basic necessities for families in these countries, while helping your team meet your goals. Shoes from YOUR shoe fundraiser are consolidated and shipped to on-the-ground business operators where they clean, repair, or melt down outsoles to make a new pair of shoes.

I have not been on a mission trip with my church yet, but we have a team who faithfully goes to Guatemala, and we have a team that works with a group in Sudan. From their personal stories of what conditions are like in some of these impoverished places across the world, I know that the need for basics like shoes, is great. The above video mentioned that a woman's ability to trade a pair of shoes for a goat in the marketplace was the difference between life and death for her baby, as she needed to goat to provide milk for her newborn child.

In my own closet, I probably have 40+ pairs of shoes, and many of those, I haven't worn in some time. My son has shoes that he has only worn a handful of times before outgrowing them, and there are children in this world who have never even slipped a pair of shoes onto their feet. It is my personal goal to share Funds2Orgs with organizations that are local to me- my church, local schools, etc., and then I hope that others will do the same, so that this wonderful fundraiser catches on, and before we know it, thousands of people will be participating- raising funds for their organizations, and helping those in need, in the process.
