B was so excited to receive Transformers Rescue Bots: Mystery Rescue!

B will turn four in just a couple of weeks, and he is at that age where he's really into heroes. We definitely consider the four quirky, yet caring Rescue Bots (Chase, Boulder, Heatwave, and Blades) as heroes. The Rescue Bots were given a mission by Optimus Prime himself- to live among the humans of planet Earth, and work alongside them. The Bots work as rescue vehicles with Chief Burns and his family of rescue workers- Graham, Cade, Danny, and Cody. Cody befriends the bots right away, and helps them to understand how humans operate, and how the bots ought to act around people, so they don't blow their cover as rescue vehicles (rather than the humans discovering that they are aliens).

Together, Cody and the Rescue Bots encounter many situations where they tackle risky rescues, and dangerous missions. The challenge is that the bots themselves have to work together, but that they also have to work with the humans. The five episodes on Mystery Rescues are bit haunting- perfect for this time of year, when we're looking toward Halloween. There are a couple of the episodes that we skip through parts of, because the gremlins and some of the other mysterious characters are a little too scary for B's taste just yet.

We really enjoy the Rescue Bots, because the entire show is very family oriented, and the recurring theme is teamwork. The series feature familiar voices, and sticky situations, which are challenging. The series is set in Griffin Rock, which is a town of ultra modern and advanced technology, so there is always some sort of new invention or creature to discover, or a science problem to solve, with the help of Doc Green and his daughter, Frankie.

We love the Bots and the Burns family, and enjoy watching them work together as a team to save the day! It's a family friendly series, packed full of adventure at every turn, and suitable for young heroes.
