The Ultimate Bento Lunch Box from The Ultimate Green Store #AReview + $25.00 Gift Code Giveaway

Back to school, back to school... now that Labor Day has passed, all of the kiddos really are heading back to school! My little sweetie starts preschool tomorrow, and I am filled with anxiety and excitement for him. B will only be going to school three days a week, for three hours a day, but I have my 'afternoon plan' in place already, and that has to include his lunch time. Hubby will be picking B up from school, and bringing him home just before noon, and I need to have lunch ready to go for both of them when they walk through the door. Even though I don't have to pack a lunch for B to take to school (I do have that option once a week), I know that I can make things much easier on myself, if I prep his lunch the night before, and serve up small portions of different things in a lunch box.

We've never really had a need for B to have a lunch box before, so selecting one that would be practical was important to me. I had the chance to select a lunch box from The Ultimate Green Store, an online destination for eco-conscious shoppers. The Ultimate Green Store has a plethora of eco-friendly products for the home, for the office, clothing and bags, bath and bedding, toys and more! If you're looking for 'green,' this is the place to shop!

The Ultimate Green Store has a fantastic selection of eco-friendly back to school must-haves, like backpacks and lunch boxes. Since Bento Boxes have become fairly popular over the past couple of years, I decided that it would be a good idea for us to give one a try. I like the fact that they are reusable, and have small containers, which will allow me to pack little portions of different foods for my picky little eater.

B opened up the package from The Ultimate Green Store after it arrived, to find his very first Bento Lunch Box!

The Bento Lunch Box is by Laptop Lunches Bento-ware. We were happy to see this in blue, though it is available in a variety of other colors.

B was so excited to have his very own lunch box!

The Bento Lunch Box 2.0 from Laptop Lunches is such a great idea! We love that the actual box is blue, and the containers that come inside of it are a lime green color, which is perfect for my green and blue loving little guy. We were already impressed by this Bento Lunch Box before we even opened it, and couldn't wait to start using it for lunch time!

Such a fun concept- laptop lunches. This Bento Lunch Box is designed to rest on a lap or on any flat surface, which makes it great for school, the office, picnics, and even eating on the go while in the car!

The Bento Lunch Box 2.0 came with five containers- three of them with lids.

The containers that came with the bento lunch box fit inside, allowing different compartments for different foods. I think the idea of a bento box lunch is so neat... especially for kids who are likely to only eat little bits of things. Using a bento box allows the eco-conscious parent to pack a lunch that it healthier, and doing it this way also cuts down on waste- both food waste and packaging materials, such as wrappers and plastic baggies.

A lunch box that folds flat and takes up less room is a huge plus!

There's plenty of room in the Bento Lunch Box 2.0 from Laptop Lunches, to pack a variety of foods.

I love and appreciate the different sized containers of the bento lunch box. The larger container without the lid is the perfect place to pack a half sandwich or wrap. In B's first lunch, I placed a small slice of pizza. We were eating this lunch at home, so I warmed the pizza up before placing it in his lunch box. With four containers left, I had plenty of space to also include fruit, multi-grain chips, and a 'dessert.'

B's first true bento box lunch experience- lots of favorites in this lunch box!

I closed the lunch box up, and carried it to the dining table for B. He sat down in front of it, and loved having his lunch organized like this. He is like his daddy, and hates for his food to touch each other, so keeping everything separated by their own compartments really made him a happy camper at the lunch table!

Just add milk, and lunch is served!

B, discovering his lunch in his new Bento Lunch Box from The Ultimate Green Store.

When B sat down to eat his lunch, he was so excited to be eating from his new bento lunch box! He couldn't wait to discover what was inside of each container- each one of them a special surprise! I loved that he was happy, and we wound up eating lunch together without any whining, tears, or tantrums. Everyone was happy, and that almost never happens at mealtimes in our house!

Who knew lunch time could be so much fun!?

We have been enjoying our Laptop Lunches Bento Lunch Box 2.0, thanks to our friends at The Ultimate Green Store. We have pretty much used it for lunch each day since it arrived. I have stopped asking B what he wants to have for lunch, and I have just been packing it, myself. Each day, when he opens up his bento lunch box (with a little help- it's tricky for little hands to open), B can't wait to see what's waiting for him!

Another great lunch, packed in the Laptop Lunches Bento Lunch Box 2.0!

Even though we're not packing school lunches yet, we do have the option for B to stay an extra hour at school on Wednesdays for the Lunch Bunch program, where we send lunch to school with him, and he eats it there and plays for that extra hour. If I run into a particularly busy week with my work load, I may just take advantage of the Lunch Bunch program every now and then, and if I do, I will definitely be packing B's lunch with him in his Bento Lunch Box 2.0!

We love our new Bento Lunch Box 2.0 so much! It's incredibly durable, can be hand washed, or placed in the dishwasher (I use the top rack only). I really feel good about having a lunch box that can be used over and over again- for lunches, snacks or meals on the go. The containers with lids cut out the need to use plastic zip baggies, which cuts down on a ton of waste! By making an eco-friendly decision to use a lunch box like this one, we're showing our son what it means to be eco-conscious, and (hopefully) raising him to be the same way.

  7. I try to reuse materials whenever I can - scrap paper instead of tossing it, plastic containers instead of buying Tupperware, etc. I walk or bike or carpool instead of just driving myself. We have energy-saving lightbulbs in our new home. It's small things but it helps. :)
