Get Warm with a Cozey 7 Trail Hopper {Review and Giveaway}

Even though it is the middle of summer in Indiana, I am not sure Mother Nature is aware. We had such a harsh winter and our summer is one of the coolest on record. We haven't hit 90 degrees once and this morning it was only 50! While I am certainly not upset with the reality of this, it does make our clothing choices a bit slim each day. Baby C has one sweatshirt hoodie and just a few long sleeve tees that are in her current size, along with 2 pair of pants. I hate to go out and buy her warmer stuff just yet because she is growing so quickly.
Recently MBP was offered an opportunity to work with a company that created performance style blankets for bundling little ones when you are out adventuring. They had approached us, knowing that it was the middle of summer, with a challenge to use the company's product in the best way possible. I guess they picked the right family, we didn't have to try at all, Mother Nature just handed us some cooler weather to be able to use it without any problems.

Cozey 7 was founded by a mom, Jill, from Colorado who was looking for a way to keep her kids warm while they were out adventuring. All of today's kid gear has straps between shoulders and legs, making it extra difficult for a traditional blanket to do a great job of keeping them bundled. Jill developed a performance blanket, that would add an extra layer of warmth by easily fitting over all of the kid gear, car seats, strollers, backpacks, and carriers. The Trail Hopper is a great, hands-free way to keep your little one toasty and snug, made of warm, breathable, recycled Polartec fleece and manufactured in the US.
We were offered to pick our choice of Trail Hopper from the Cozey 7 site. I headed over to shop their collection and was thrilled to see such a variety of color options and three size choices. I fell in love with a couple of different ones, but was the most drawn to one color in particular. I knew it would be a great color on C, while keeping her little body cozy on the cooler days.
Our Cozey 7 package has arrived!
Inside I found this
An Orchid Trail Hopper and a quick note.

The note was very sweet, directly from Jill, the founder herself. I was really pleased to see this, Jill obviously wants to build great relationships with her customers and show off her amazing products. Thanks for taking the extra minute Jill!
 The Trail Hopper comes in three sizes (0-6 Months, 6-18 Months, and 18-2T) and 10 colors (Rose Petal, Baby Blue, Nightfall, Black, Gum Drop, Orchid, Pink Solitaire, Paintbrush, Cactus, and Frost Blue).  It retails for $65 and is available online and in very select stores. I chose the Orchid in 6-18 Months.
The Orchid is a very pretty purple color, with dark purple trim and lime green zipper. C doesn't have anything this color, so I like the uniqueness for her.

Each Trail Hopper also comes with its very own storage bag or snack bag, that matches. A carabineer is included to easily attach the Trail Hopper to strollers, backpacks, or carriers too.
 I said it was on the chillier side this morning, but that didn't stop us from wanting to go on the porch to play. I put on her regular clothing and then added the Trail Hopper over that. It was very easy to put on, I just slid both her legs in, put her arms through, and zipped her up. It was a bit on the big side, it still gives her tons of room to grow and wiggle in.
  I kept her feet out so she could walk around, but there are toe covers for added warmth if need be. This is perfect for the kids (like all of mine) who never keep socks on, just pulling over the covers will keep socks easily in place. The zipper is full length and easy to use, complete with an anti-jam system, this makes for quick and easy on and off, always a plus for busy moms like me.
 C has the freedom to move and be on the go while wearing her Trail Hopper, but is still staying warm. Giving her an extra layer makes me feel like we can spend a few extra minutes playing when before I would have said, it is too chilly to stay out. The fleece is very high quality and very soft. I love the blanket feel of the Trail Hopper and I know C does too.
This would have been great last fall when we hiked in the Smoky Mountains and I had to throw a regular blanket over C to keep her warm. I know we will use it a bunch this fall during soccer and baseball games when C watches her big brother and sister from the sidelines. These Trail Hoppers are convenient, simple, and allow moms and dads to keep on going without having to worry about how warm baby is.
