Is it already Saturday? This weekend is likely going to be pretty busy. We still need to find bunk beds for the girls' room, I think I should probably start working on the list of things we need to get ready for our trip to Florida in August, and I'd like to get some yard work done.

Right now, I am obsessing with the idea of a yard makeover! We are on a corner lot, so our backyard is pretty non-existant, but we have a good amount of "side yard" on either side of our house. The one thing I want more than anything for our yard is a fence, especially because we live right off of a main road. Since that requires a bit of work (including getting permits and the like) and more money than I'd care to spend right now, I will have to settle for much smaller projects like trying to flatten out parts of the yard that we do use, finding decorations for the yard that might help add privacy, and trimming a few branches on our tree that need it.

Yard makeovers, though difficult are SO worth it! We live on a military base so our yard is small and pathetic BUT we decided to purchase a few plants, found a free birdbath and a few chairs and I have to say, it's made a big difference! It feels more homey and we spend a lot of time out there now. Investing in native plants is key as they do best and draw native wildlife (butterflies, birds, etc.). Keeping a birdbath filled with water (Changed out daily) attracts visitors as well. Boarding the house close to windows looks nice and allows you to enjoy from outside. Have fun!
