As many parents know, reading with your young children is an important activity. We are lucky here in the Wigglesworth household because both of our girls LOVE reading, but we know that not all kids are as interested. Thankfully, we’ve recently worked with a wonderful company named Twigtale, and I think the products this company offers will help foster a love of reading for all children, including those who are not yet interested.
Twigtale is a small company that makes personalized children’s books. Some of these books focus on early childhood transitions (potty training, starting school etc) and others are “anytime” books. The books are written by child development specialists and are designed to help build self-esteem and promote child development. To personalize a book, parents or caregivers are able to add pictures and text to create a book about their child(ren).
We created a book for our youngest, Reese, who is almost 2. The process was extremely easy. First, you decide which book you want. I was hoping it would be time for a potty training book, but Reese is not ready for that, so we decided on an “anytime” book about how much she is loved!

The first step is picking which book you want to personalize! Twigtale recommends that you preview a sample of any book before you start to personalize it. Next, you decide what pictures you want to use. Each book comes with an image list, which suggest what kinds of photos to use and for which page. Honestly, the most difficult part of this for me was choosing which pictures to use because I have so many of them. Thankfully, once you create an account, you can take your time to work on the book because your pictures and progress are saved for later!

Once your book is created, you click the finish book tab, make your payment and you are all set. Your book will arrive within 7 days! I seriously could not believe how quickly our book arrived. One day I was talking about the book and looking at the link that was provided to share the book with others, and before I knew it the book was in our hands and Drew, our oldest, was reading it to her little sister!

We are so completely over the moon about the book; the design, the quality, just everything about it, that we are in the process of completing one for Drew. I’m also making a list of everyone I know with young children and/or who are expecting, because a Twigtale e-Gift Card is going to be my go to gift for quite a while.
