I love, love, love wearing boots. They're so cute, comfortable and really do make a statement when worn. I enjoy wearing several different styles of boots- like riding boots, mid calf boots with a bit of a heel, a dressy boot, ankle booties, etc. I haven't quite warmed up to knee high boots, though- they just seem impracticle for a mom on the go. I gave up wearing heels after B was born. With all the carrying around and picking up of a newborn, and then little person that I was doing, I was too afraid that if I wore any kind of heel, I would fall, and injure him, me, or the both of us. So, I've lives in flats for the the past three years, but have really been missing my heels lately.

My favorite boots somehow got destroyed when we moved from MD back to NC. The leather on each boot was scratched so badly, I couldn't wear them anymore. I was in need of a new pair of black boots that were cute and comfortable, and still made me feel like a hot momma.

While I was busy making my Christmas list for my hubby a few weeks ago, I started looking at boots, remembering that I needed a new pair or two. I thought they'd make a great gift, but hubby needs to know exact styles, or won't even attempt to buy me shoes (not that I blame him). I came across White Mountain, and was pretty stunned by their large selection of women's boots. I couldn't help but take a look around their website and read a bit more about them. White Mountain Shoes was founded by four shoemakers in 1979, who had a common mission- to make stylish, quality footwear that was also a great value. The team opened up a shuttered factory in NH, near the original historical home of American Shoemaking. The company has expanded to three brands over the years, and has an international team of staff. White Mountain prides themselves on the quality of their product, and making millions of women smile when they slip on their shoes.

I was lucky enough to connect with the White Mountain team, which offered me the opportunity to select a style of boots to review. White Mountain has so many beautiful boot styles, it was difficult for me to choose just one, but I knew what would most benefit me, so I set out to find what I needed. I wanted a black boot with a low to mid-calf rise that had a slightly chunky heel, that looked dressy and could be worn as a casual boot with skinny jeans, or with a dress, leggings and a tunic, etc. I wound up finding the perfect pair, and the kind folks at White Mountain shipped them right out to me in a size 7.5.

I couldn't wait to get these cute boots out of their box and try them on! As I lifted them up to take a better look at the boots, I noticed that they felt light, and then felt heavy around the actual foot of the boot. I love this, because it means that my foot will be protected. I have a lot of boots that are super thin around the toe or heel, and I'm afraid I'll wind up with a hole in them if I wear them too much! The Graceful Boots are high quality, and you can tell that just by looking at them.

They look even better in person than they did on the White Mountain website- truly beautiful! Look how the leather is matte, yet shines!

I love the details in the design of these boots. The stitching is lovely. They zip on the inside, plus there's an added zipper for fashion, and function in the back of the boot. There are criss-cross leather strips across the ankle, which feature silver hardware, and the calf of the boot has a slight slouch in the leather.

A bonus with my boots- leather polish! This will help me keep my boots looking pristine through the years!

I have worn the Graceful Black Boots at least half a dozen times since I received them. I have worn them comfortably with pants, skirts and a dress, and have lasted in them pretty much all day before my tootsies started to feel a bit sore. I have to build up a heel wearing tolerence again, though, because like I said, I've been heel free for nearly three years! I never once felt off balance in these, which is awesome, because I am a huge klutz, and also have a bad knee, which can sometimes make wearing heels difficult for me.

The heel on this boot is 3 1/2 inches, which is just the right amount of height for me. I love the pointed, but rounded toe. A pointy boot or shoe actually makes you look slimmer- did you know that? These would look perfect with just about any dress you may be thinking about wearing to a Christmas or New Year's party, for famly photos, for Christmas Eve service, to work, to a social gathering, to church, etc. I love wearing these when I'm out and about, and have loved wearing them to church. One of my pals saw me in these and said I looked 'foxy,' so thanks to White Mountain for helping this momma feel more like a hot momma in these stylish boots!
