I'm living a bit more of a casual lifestyle these days. When I worked in an office, I was in dresses and skirts all the time, really liked dressing up every day. Now that I'm a mom and am blessed to be able to work from home, I can be as casual as I want to be. I'm not one of those gals who likes to live in her yoga pants before 8 pm, unless I'm excercising, so I do actually put myself together every morning. Since I'm usually dressed pretty casually, I do like to accentuate my outfits with unique jewelry. It always adds a little oomph to my ensemble and to my attitude!

Recently, I was introduced to some pretty amazing jewelry by Julie Vos. Ashamedly, I really didn't know a whole lot about Julie or her jewelry, so I began reading up on her journey as a designer and businesswoman. I had a wonderful experience shopping Julie's website. Though her collections are stunningly beautiful, featuring lovely gold tones and colored stones, I knew that to truly appreciate the beauty of these pieces, I would need to select items that I would wear day to day. I easily searched for silver jewelry, and loved the pieces that displayed themselves on the screen. I was able to select both a necklace and a pair of earrings.

I chose the Silver Monogram Pendant, because believe it or not, I am really into personalized jewelry these days. Maybe it's Carrie Bradshaw Syndrome or something (remember her notorious Carrie necklace from SATC?), but I am all about having special pieces of jewelry that bear my initial, especially since 'O' isn't super common.

My sweet son was truly fascinated with this necklace. He loved mommy's 'O,' and its pretty shine. I can't blame him- the necklace really is lovely, and makes me feel as special and unique as my parents knew I would be when they gave me my name. The necklace is a wonderful accent to the neutral tones I love to wear, and also adds a special pop to a white or colorful top or blouse. I love wearing this with peasant style dresses and tops, and open cardigans. I've received a lot of compliments on this, and that makes me feel special, as well!

The Poire Earrings are now among my favorite earrings in my jewelry box- the others being my pearls from my mom and dad, and my silver and garnet hoops from my husband and son. These sweet little silver drops have a lightness to them that make them easy to wear. Instead of a high shine, they have a matte finish (which I love), yet still seem to sparkle. I love wearing them with just about anything from a casual outfit to a dressy one, and have found theat they really look lovely with a turtleneck sweater!
