Let's Play! #VTech Go Go Smart Wheels Airport Playset #Review + #Giveaway

As we work our way into the new school year, I'm having a lot of fun figuring out ways for Balian and I to spent the day together. Since I work from home, I have to balance our day so that we're getting time in for hands on activities, like crafts or projects, reading, practicing our letters, etc. I also have to try to balance play time and work time. I love playing and spending time with my son, but when I have a deadline to meet, his ability to play independently is very important. I don't like plopping my son down in front of a video or television program to keep him occupied while I'm working, so having great toys that are fun to play with and teach during playtime, is super helpful!

If you're at all farmiliar with VTech, you already know that they specialize in connecting families with helpful electronic products for the home. VTech also has several well known brands of products for children, making early learning a lot of fun for kids, and parents! We've been big fans of VTech learning toys since my son was a wee babe. VTech is always thinking up something new, and we're pleased to bring you a review of one of their newest additions to the learning toys family: the Go Go Smart Wheels playsets!

We were sent the VTech Go Go Smart Wheels Airport Playset, geared toward ages 1-5, which made it perfect for my soon-to-be three-year-old. The Go Go Smart Wheels Playsets provide children with miles of learning, exploration and creativity! Each set contains pieces to build tracks and sets to play on, and includes a smart vehicle. The playset pieces include built-in SmartPoints, where the vehicle and the playset meet. The playset piece recognizes the vehicle, and then the vehicle talks or makes corresponding sounds, engaging your child in playful learning!

Balian was so excited when I presented him with his new VTech Go Go Smart Wheels Airport Playset!

'Mommy, can you open this, so I can play?'

The VTech Smart Wheels Go Go Airport Playset came packaged in colorful box, with bright photos on it. The playset includes colorful plastic track pieces that easily click together, as well as airport pieces, which simulate a flying airplane, control tower, etc! Balian didn't waste any time lining up the pieces and starting to build a fun track for his airplane!

Lots of big, easy to hold, and easy to click together pieces for little hands...

The airplane vehicle makes sounds and lights up! There are six SmartPoints within  the playset, and each time the vehicle goes over a SmartPoint, the vehicle makes a sound, lights up, and engages the child. The track pieces are made in such a way, that they can be configured however the child wishes, and can build onto other sets!

Starting to put the tracks together to build a runway for the plane!

Check out this awesome playset in action...

We played with the Go Go Smart Wheels Airport Playset all day the day we received it! Balian had so much fun putting the track together, taking it apart, watching the plane 'fly,' etc.

Features of the Go Go Smart Wheels Airport Playset

Tracks that can be reconfigured or detached to connect to other Go! Go! Smart Wheels™ playsets
Includes one airplane
Features control tower with antenna that turns to ‘fly’ plane on cloud platform
Features role-play elements, including a fuel station, lift-up gate and spinning weather vane
SmartPoint vehicles respond to 6 SmartPoint locations with imaginative phrases, music and more

This is just one of the ways Balian configured the tracks while he played with this set...

One of the best things about this playset, other than your child really diving into a leanring experience through play, is that these sets are designed to be added onto. Balian really wanted the other vehicles that were shown on this playset box, so we reminded him that he has a birthday coming up, and we'll probably be purchasing a set to add on to this one. It'll be hard to choose one, though- they all look like so much fun!

All in all, we think this is a really neat learning toy, and one that can be enjoyed by all ages it was intended for- from 1 to 5 year-olds, boys and girls, alike. Balian and his daddy have been having a blast playing airport together, and we can't wait to add onto this set. VTech has yet to disappoint us as parents, or our son. VTech, keep doing what you're doing, and cranking out awesome learning toys! We truly enjoy and appreciate them!
