Fall Fashion at its Finest (and Most Convenient!) with Golden Tote #Review

If you've been following along the past few days, you may have seen my Fall Fashion Trends 2013 post. I try to stay caught up when it comes to fashion, and I won't lie- I love to shop. I often find myself stuck, though. I like shopping, but agree when my husband says that he doesn't want our family time to be spent hitting the stores. I love fashion (high end fashion, to tell you the truth), but I am on a super tight budget. I also have a three-year-old and my days are spent working from home, teaching my son, and then volunteering my time at my church. Lets just say, I don't get out much. Plus, I just turned thirty, and at this age, it's easy to find yourself not knowing how to dress for your age. I feel like I have a huge list of demands when it comes to what I need, in order to find a style that works for me...

I need help with styling an outfit.

I need the biggest bang for my buck.

I need my staples to be affordable.

My style should reflect the current and classic fashion trends, and be a bit modest.

My clothing needs to be age appropriate.

I need to be able to pull together quick, smart outfits.

My clothing needs to be comfortable and durable.

Shopping experience needs to be fast and convenient for me/my schedule.

Do I sound like the biggest diva in the world? Good thing that Golden Tote is around! I came across Golden Tote a few weeks ago, when I was looking for fashion subscription services. I thought surely, there had to be a sort of monthly fashion club women could subscribe to that offers affordable, fashionable wardrobe staples that didn't have to be rented and returned, and that could be selected based on personal preferences, right from the comfort of someone's home.

They had already launched a successful fashion line- Puella, and were 'living the dream' when they started seeing their clothing on celebrities like Kate Hudson, Jennifer Garner and Olivia Wilde, to name a few. These gals put together a few Puella grab bags, offering fans around 10 items at 80% off the retail price! Not only were the fans loving the incredible deals they were receiving, they loved the surprise items the were receiving. The Sarah's decided to build on this idea, and thus, Golden Tote was born. These two ladies know fashion, they love shopping, and they know that smart, busy women like the convenience of being able to shop online.

When I connected with the gals behind the scenes at Golden Tote a few weeks ago, I was beyond thrilled to have been given the opportunity to learn more about how Golden Tote worked, and why it would be a great option for me, and other women.

I was issued a shopping code so I could order a $149.00 Golden Tote for September. Golden Tote provided two different tote options- a $49.00 option and a $149.00 option- a fair price to fit every budget. The $49.00 tote gives you 2-3 items and is valued up to $200.00! The $149.00 tote gives you 6-7 items and is valued at up to $600.00!

I set up profile with Golden Tote, and then selected which tote I wanted to receive. I clicked on the $149.00 tote option, and was taken to a screen which prompted me to select two items that I wanted to receive. There were seventeen different articles of clothing to choose from- from skirts to dresses, jackets, sweaters and more! I had a hard time deciding which pieces I wanted most (because I loved everything I saw), but ultimately wound up selecting these two items...

I truly appreciated being able to read more information about the individual articles of clothing, as well as wash/care instructions. Plus, Golden Tote lets you know which size the model is wearing, and there are model stats available, as well, giving you the model's height, measurements and sizing. This was particularly helpful to me, because size charts can often be confusing. I thought, okay, if the model is wearing a size Small, that should work for me, too, according to my measurements weighed next to hers.

I answered a series of questions, prompted by the Golden Tote website, which asked me about style and color preferences, etc. After that, I added my shipping information, put my shopping code in, and placed my order. I waited patiently, knowing that a special tote was being put together, just for me!

When my Golden Tote arrived about a week later, I felt just like I did when I was a little girl, and my dad would take me shopping for a new Christmas Eve dress!

On top of my actual tote, was a special note from Sarah and Sarah, Golden Toe Co-Founders, which contained a whole lot of love and some special fashion tips!

I was already highly impressed with Golden Tote, and hadn't even actually seen the tote (or what was in it) yet! My Golden Tote was stuffed full, and I couldn't wait to get in there and see what had been sent to me!

I couldn't wait to see what was what, so I carefully opened each package and began laying everything out on my dining room table. I couldn't believe my eyes as I looked at everything that laid before me... I had an entirely new fall wardrobe in my dining room, just from one tote!
