I don't know about the rest  of you, but I have been quite tired of the rain we've been having this summer. I shouldn't complain, especially not when we're still considered to be in a 'drought' despite the flash flooding we've been experiencing. I know that the rain it good for the Earth, and we need it... my garden is lush this summer! However, the rain messes up my hair, and I hate, hate, hate trying to get my toddler out of his car seat, while juggling an umbrella. The idea behind it never works, and we both always wind up soaked! If only there were an easier way to get in and out of the car (in the rain), and not wind up drenched!

The Brolly Butler is a simply designed plastic umbrella holder that is lightweight, and suctions right to your car window, allowing you to place an open umbrella right into the holder. The holder keeps the umbrella in place, and held up over you to help protect you from the elements as you get in and our of your vehicle.

When I found out that I had been selected to review the Brolly Butler, I jumped up and down and rejoiced, because I hate going out in the rain. I like to look at and listen to the rain, but let me stay inside, in my nice, warm, dry house! It can't always be that easy, though... I have places to go, things to do and people to see, yes, even in the rain. I really loved the concept of this product and couldn't wait to put it to the test.


Brolly Butler, suctioned right to the car window...

One very rainy afternoon, I had to go grocery shopping with my two-year-old- in the pouring rain, of course. It was one of those days where the sky just opened up at ten in the morning and didn't stop until late into the evening. Yuck! My son and I got all dressed in our rain gear and headed out in the rain. It usually takes me forever and a day to get my son strapped into his car seat (he's usually less than cooperative). I quickly stuck the Brolly Butler to the inside of the back seat (passenger side) window after I opened the door, and inserted the umbrella into the holder. The umbrella was already open, so it quickly and easily covered both of us, fully, and kept us dry as I got my son situated in the seat. After that, I grabbed the umbrella, and headed to the driver's seat.


Just pop the umbrella into the Brolly Butler, and go about your loading and unloading (hands free of an umbrella) in the rain!

When we got to the store, I did the same thing by inserting the open umbrella handle into the Brolly Butler umbrella holder, got B out of his seat, and we stayed dry. I was able to then pick the umbrella right up, and cover us, as we walked to the store. Having the Brolly Butler made life so much easier as I packed and unpacked groceries into and out of the car, as well! I stayed dry, and so did my bags!

I love the Brolly Butler, and I think you will, too- whether or not you have little ones to tote around. This product is great for teens and adults who find themselves having to be out, driving in the rain. No one wants to wind up with soaked clothes before they walk into work, school, church, or wherever else they may be headed. I would actually love to get one more Brolly Butler, so I can keep one at the driver's side, and one at the back passenger's side at all times!

When you use the Brolly Butler, it's truly like having a friend standing beside you, holding your umbrella for you! Never again will I have to try to wedge the open umbrella canopy between the open car door and the roof of the car (which can cause scratches, by the way!). Everyone in my family thinks this is such a neat product (it really helped us out on our way to the beach a couple of weeks ago!), and I am thinking of purchasing a few as Christmas gifts this year!
