Getting to Know You Thursdays

Thanks for dropping by to get to know the MBP team of bloggers a little better. This week, we're catching up with MBP Sr. Contributor, Ondria Witt.

Good Eats- What's For Dinner Tonight?
Orange Chicken, White Rice and Steamed Broccoli. Yum!

Whatcha Reading?
The Other Boleyn Girl, by Phillipa Gregory

Listening to Anything Good?
Crazy Noise, by Hillsong Kids Jr.

Whatcha Been Watching?
Re-runs of Ugly Betty on Netflix... it's a guilty pleasure. I can't help but love it- that show is so goofy!

I Dreamed a Dream of...
No dreams lately... just nights of interrupted sleep! Ugh.

What I'm Lovin' this Week...
Vacation is a week and a half away! I can't wait to be at beautiful Ocean Isle with my hubby's family! Plus- we get to go to our friend's lake house this Saturday. We're hoping for nice weather so we can go out on the boat, and I know my hubby is itching to get back on a jet ski.

I am so Done With...
People who don't know how to communicate, and leave everything up in the air until the last possible second. I have never operated that way, and don't work well with people who do.

Silliest Thing this Week...
My son's favorite new afternoon silly... he comes up to me at the same time every afternoon and says, 'Mommy, it's tickle party time!' Of course, we then proceed to have a ten minute tickle party. It's one of the best parts of my day.

Thanks for catching up with me this week! I'd love to hear how you've been doing this week, too! Pick a topic from the list and tell me about it!

  1. I am with you on I'm so done with... another thing that bothers me are people who are late. You invite them to dinner and they are late!!!! Whats up with that anyway?

    1. Oh, I can't stand to be late! I'd rather be early than late. I always try to allow myself extra time. My hubby is notorious for running behind and he often makes us late. I've started having to tell him that we have to be somewhere 10-15 minutes earlier than we actually do, so we'll arrive on time!

  2. I heard a long time ago that chronic lateness is a sign of self-centeredness and though I think some people are just flighty, it does make me feel undervalued since essentially the message is, "whatever I was doing was more important than what I was coming to do with you."

  3. Oh, I so agree with you on the chronic lateness and on the people leaving everything to the last minute. I want to say, "Let me know when you figure out what you want."

    1. We LOVE HIMYM! We ran out of 'new' episodes to watch on Netflix, but will go back to it when they add the new season. That's one of my favorite shows! I just never get to watch new episodes on prime time tv, because- well, you know... toddler at home, who is a complete night owl!

    1. Lol, Sarah Louise... you should def. watch it. It's so silly, and I hated to start watching it, but found myself hooked. America Ferrera is awesome in it, and so is Vanessa Williams!

  7. I'm also done with people who don't communicate. If you have a problem and I ask you and you say nothing then how am I supposed to help you. I at that point say "I know you have a problem but if you don't tell me what's wrong I can't help you" and if they want to tell me fine and if they don't I don't waste my time anymore plain and simple. I got better things to do.

    1. Right on, Linda. It's like people have no respect for one another's time anymore.

The beautiful weather we have been having this summer. Nights have been cool and that is unheard of this time of year in the west. Loving it.
