MBP's Summer Fashion Finds
This has been one of the hottest, wettest, stickiest summers that I can remember in a very long time. It seems like it's been raining for days on end- week after week, with very little sunshine. When the sun does peek through the clouds, though- I like to delight in simple pleasure that make me feel comfortable and feminie, like a good sundress or tunic made of a soft fabric, which fights against the humidity and works to keep me cool and comfortable.
If you haven't yet been introduced to Yala, you're going to love meeting them today. Yala is a Green America Approved Business, which specializes in comfort and travel products, as well as apparel and items for home living. 'Yala' means to live in the right now, and is issued as a sort of invitation for everyone to live in the moment, and live an adventurous life.
I became interested in learning more about Yala, and what their soft, Bamboo Dreams collection of apparel looked and felt like. I was excited to connect with their company, and to be sent a piece of apparel from their luch Bamboo Dreams collection for review.
Tessa Tunic
I received the Tessa Tunic in Navy Chevron, from the Yala Bamboo Dreams Collection. It came to me via USPS, and was nicely protected in wrapped plastic. As I unfolded the tunic, I noticed that even though it had been folded up, it was virtually wrinkle-free! I absolutely love garments that are wrinkle-resistant and save me time!
I couldn't wait to try the tunic on! The chevron pattern is so popular right now, and I loved the navy color against the white background. I knew that in a size small, this would be a great fit for me, and my lifestyle.
Stopping to 'smell the roses' along the side of my house, in the Tessa Tunic by Yala.
Checking in on some of my flowers along the front of my house, after church, in the Tessa Tunic.
I can't decide what I love the most about the Tessa Tunic. This is such a comfortable, versatile piece of clothing! It's made from organically grown bamboo, and I've got to tell you- this is the absolute softest article of clothing I own now! There's about 5% spandex in this piece, as well, so it stretches a bit.
Everything about the Tess Tunic is flattering, from the cut to the shape and the length. I was a bit worried that I might need to wear something under it, afraid that it might be too short, but the length wound up being very comfortable for me and my long legs. The wavy horizontal chevron stripes don't make me look wide, either, which I love!
I wore my Yala Tessa Tunic out for a night on the town, too!
The Tessa Tunic is sleek enough for a night out. I wore it to a recent performace of Cirque Du Soleil, paired with a navy sweater jacket. I've worn this tunic just around the house, because it's so darn comfy, and I've worn it to church! Since the fabric is a little thicker than cotton is, I didn't have to wear any type of heavy duty tank or slip dress underneath of the Tessa Tunic, which meant that I was much more comfortable in it!
Features of the Tessa Tunic
95% Viscose from Bamboo / 5% Spandex
Machine wash, gentle cycle, cool water, mild soap.
Do not bleach. Tumble dry, gentle cycle, low heat. Low iron if desired.
Warm, cool, soft, lovely, for day and night. Organically grown in sustainably managed forests.
What I truly love about this piece is its versatility. It can be dressed up, worn with leggings in cooler weather, be worn as a casual sundress, or can be worn at home for lounging and/or sleepwear! I love this tunic so much that I already want another one in a different color!
Yala has so many beautiful apparel pieces, accessories and items for the home.

ReplyDeleteI use paper over plastic, and of course try to bring my own reusable bags as well when shopping. I also recycle cans and bottles by bringing them to the redemption center. I also did a little composting of household waste and yard waste with a neighbor to make a nice fertilizer for the garden this year.
