Tasty Tuesdays: No Bake Peanut Butter Pie #Recipe

I'm no baker. I leave the baking to my husband, or my mother-in-law, because they know what they're doing, and baked goods just have something against me. I feel pretty badly about not being able to bake delicious treats for my family very well, so when I stumbled upon an easy recipe for a peanut butter pie, I knew I had to try it! My husband is a huge lover of peanut butter, and I wanted to surprise him.

You will need...

1 Pre-made (or homemade) graham cracker pie crust
1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
3 Cups of Cool Whip
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Jar of Peanut Butter
1 Jar of Hot Fudge Topping

In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, 1 Cup of peanut butter and the sugar.

Next, gently fold in the Cool Whip...

Spoon the mixture into the pie crust, and smooth to the edges.

Cover and refrigerate for about half an hour, so the mixture firms up a bit. Warm the jar of hot fudge topping the last few minutes the pie is in the fridge.

Reserve two tablespoons of the hot fudge, and gently pour the remaining hot fudge over the peanut butter layer of the pie.

Refrigerate for another thirty minutes to allow the hot fudge topping to set.

Next, pipe remaining peanut butter onto the pie, however you'd like. I chose to do a sort of lattice work design (poorly, I might add).

Drizzle remaining hot fudge topping over the top of the pie.

If you'd rather, omit the extra peanut butter and hot fudge drizzle on top. For me, all of the extra peanut butter was definitely overkill, but I am not a huge peanut butter fan. Next time, I think I'll leave off the extra stuff, and use a chocolate graham cracker crust. The peanut butter pie filling is nice and light and silky smooth!

A nice, rich slice of pie that was delicious, and I didn't have to bake!

This pie took less than an hour to make, and it was a huge hit! My husband loved it, and so did a few guests who have tried it, as well. Looks like we'll be keeping this recipe!

Peanut Butter lover in your family? Go ahead, give this a try!
Check back next Tuesday for another tasty recipe!
