One of my favorite things to give and/or receive is jewelry. Jewelry is such a beautiful reminder of the person who gave it to you, isn't it? I have a lot of special memories tied to the jewelry pieces that I have received over the years- my grandmother's onyx ring, which I love, pearls from my daddy, diamonds and garnets from my husband, freshwater pearls from my sister, and so on. We tend to give jewelry to celebrate milestones and special occasions, and Mother's Day is a special occasion, indeed.
As I searched for a collection of beautiful gift ideas for Mother's Day, I came across Tracy Tayan Designs. Mother, and wife, Tracy Tayan is a remarkable business woman and artist. Tracy holds six degrees, has spent part of her life as a teacher, but admits that she thinks she enjoys being taught more. She lives 'aloha,' which is Hawaiian for peace, compassion and mercy, as well as 'hello' and 'goodbye,' and she truly believes in 'ohana,' which means 'family,' an incorporates all of this into her gorgeous handstamped jewelry.

Tracy graciously agreed to send me a selection of my choice to review from her shop. While I did spend time looking through all of her lovely designs, I was quickly drawn to one design in particular. I sent my preferences to Tracy, and within a matter of days, I had a pretty little package in my mailbox.

Tracy packages her jewelry gifts with a lot of creativity and love. A 'Live Aloha' sticker adorns the top of the jewelry box, and with the gift is also a thank you note card, as well as a special little envelope, which contains a business card, and a special polishing cloth, with jewelry care instructions. I was so impressed with Tracy's presentation before I even saw the jewelry she sent to me! Gorgeous!

As for the jewelry I chose to review, I really wanted something different. I love simple jewelry, with little accents. I enjoy wearing silver, and I do like tasteful, personalized jewelry, too. Tracy creates beautiful hand stamped keepsakes that any mom would be proud to receive and wear. I wanted something that would remind me of my favorite place to be- the beach. We always vacation on beaches, be they close to home, or miles away. Our family enjoys spending time together at the beach, where we make lots of memories. It's also one of the only places that helps me be able to relax and feel at peace.
My beach themed 'Serenity' Necklace by Tracy Tayan Designs
My necklace was designed by Tracy, just for me. I chose a large silver coin, with the word 'serenity' stamped onto it. This is now my constant reminder of peace and love. My necklace consists of the silver coin, two starfish charms- one large, and one small, two sandollar charms, one medium and one small, and two beads- a pearl and an aqua sea glass color. These charms sit on a delicate silver beaded chain.

I love everything about this necklace, from the chain to the charms. I love the way it stands out. This is unlike any other necklace that I am going to find on a jewelry rack for the summer season. This is personalized just for me, and tailored to my liking. I can easily remove a couple of the charms, if I want to, and say, add them to my charm bracelet, instead. I know there are a lot of charms on the necklace, but I love wearing them all together! They make such a statement, and intrigue others.
So pretty! These charms show off my very favorite elements of the beach!
I've worn my new favorite necklace two or three times already! I have worn it with a casual shirt, a springtime dress, and a crisp white blouse. I love that these colors go with a variety of other colors and styles. I wore this necklace to an event just the other day, and had folks asking me about it and where it came from.
