Online Logo Maker (Review)

I'm not much of a graphic designer. I sort of know how to manipulate photos and images in a photo editing program, but that's about it. In the world of blogging, or owning a website, or even representing a brand, it's extremely helpful to have the 'know how' for creating your own images and logos. Otherwise, you'll be spending a lot of money paying someone else to create your image.

Online Logo Maker is a free logo design tool, which allows users to sign up for a free account, and create their own logos with ease! There is a handy tutorial to help get new users started, which was great for me, because honestly, I had no idea what I was doing when I started to fiddle around with the tools in the logo maker!

Online Logo Maker allows the user to add different elements to the grid box, including images and text. I first chose one of the symbols provided by this awesome online logo creator, just to see what types of images they had available. I was impressed by the selection of symbols, appropriate for all sorts of professions and organizations. I chose to use a small community-oriented symbol, and with a few clicks, I was able to adjust the colors of the image to closely match the colors of my blog template.

What I really wanted to do, though, was to make a little disclosure image for my blog posts. Some new regulations just came out last week, which require disclosures to appear at the top of blog posts, before and links are provided. I rather liked having the disclosure at the bottom of the post, because it was so much text. My team started to paste the disclosure to the top of each post, but it just made the posts look junky, with way too much text at the top, before an image.

With the easy to use Online Logo Maker, I was able to upload our MBP logo, which we already use, and add our disclosure text to the grid box, alongside it. It was easy to add the text, through the text box element, and change it to a color that again, matched my template. I saved and downloaded the image, and then used a photo editing program to resize the image. Now, all of the MBP team members have a copy of this image, which we will use as our disclosure. All we have to do is insert the image into the top of each post, which saves us a lot of time, and make our posts look more attractive, too.

I really thought that I was going to have to scrounge up some money and pay a designer to make an image like this for us to use within our posts. I know that if I spend a bit more time on it, I can make the image look a lot nicer, using the same Online Logo Maker. For just a few minutes spent working on this one, though, it's not too shabby, and it does the trick for us.
