Mrs. Smith's Deep Dish Pies (Review & Giveaway)

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Mrs. Smith's for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
To me, nothing quite says home for the holidays like the scent of a delicious pie, baking in the oven. I love walking into my mom's kitchen and getting a whif of a freshly baked pie, cooling, and just waiting for our family to devour. I'm no baker, though, so I have to rely on a trusted brand when it comes to holiday baking- Mrs. Smith's Frozen Pies.

We have enjoyed Mrs. Smith's delicious frozen pies for years and years, and as we settle into the holiday season, and I start working on my Christmas Eve meal plan, or Christmas afternoon dinner, I have Mrs. Smith's in mind. I am happy to announce that Mrs. Smith's has a new line of yummy pies that you and your family should give a try this holiday season: Mrs. Smith's Signature Deep Dish pies.

I was lucky enough to get to try one of these new pies, and couldn't wait to share about it with you. Since we just finished up Thanksgiving, I am still very much in pumpkin mode, and could not pass up the delicious looking Signature Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie with Cream Cheese Icing. We prepared the pie as directed, baking it for about 100 minutes, and then let it sit out to cool a bit before serving. I knew just from the looks of the pie, that I was going to love it.

Delicious Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie from Mrs. Smith's

Look at how deep this pie truly is!

Cream cheese frosting makes this pie unlike any other!

As I sliced into the pie, I truly got a sense of how deep these deep dish pies really are! I thought I'd never get to the crust! Okay, I'm exaggerating, but it really is deep dish, and I was not disappointed in that, at all. The pie came with a pouch of cream cheese icing, so I cut it open, and drizzled the icing over the entire pie. As I took a bite of the still warm from the oven pumpkin pie, I was blown away by what a difference there was between this pie and the pies I had previously enjoyed from Mrs. Smith's. This pie was packed with flavor- bold, cinnamon and nutty flavors, melding with the sweet cream cheese. I had to make myself stop eating this pie- it was so delicious! My husband is not a fan of pumpkin pie, but I convinced him to try a bite of mine. Guess what? He liked it so much, that he went into the kitchen to grab his own slice!

We loved the pie so much that we couldn't wait to try the other varieties: Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce, Cherry Pie with Butter Fudge Sauce, and Peach Pie with Cream Cheese Icing. Unfortunately, our local stores only had the Signature Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie available.  We're going to keep looking for the other Signature Deep Dish Mrs. Smith's Pies, because they look and sound absolutely amazing, and I really want to try them! I am hoping to come across the Cherry Pie, and save it for Christmas Day, because my dad absolutely loves cherry pie, and I know he is a fan of Mrs. Smith's Pies, too!
We won't spend another holiday without a Mrs. Smith's Signature Deep Dish Pie!
