There's a chill in the air, and it's putting our family in the mood for wintry things, like hot cocoa and snuggling in a warm blanket together while watching holiday movies. We haven't had a Blu-Ray player for much over a year, so we are slowly building our Blu-Ray disc collection, especially with movies we think Balian will enjoy over the years.

Our Thoughts...

This classic tale is one of our favorites, and the special 20th anniversary edition of the film  is truly sensational. It's always cool to see how advancements have been made, and how our favorite movies look on the big screen, when on Blu-Ray. This heartwarming tale is probably a little beyond where Balian can catch on, but because the run time is close to 89 minutes, this is a movie he can sit through and enjoy. Balian is a big fan of the Muppets, and has been enjoying watching Kermit and Miss Piggy, among other favorite Muppet friends. I love Michael Caine, and enjoyed his performance as Mr. Scrooge. The musical numbers are fun, and catchy- dance worthy, as Balian would say!

The movie is giving me a window of opportunity to point out things that are nice, and things that are not nice, to my perceptive toddler. The effects in the movie are a lot of fun, and seeing it in HD, on Blu-Ray, just amps up the film's quality, and further sparks Balian's interest. This is a gem of a film that the whole family has enjoyed!
