Starlooks Star Box (Review)

I have a little confession. I am growing more and more fond of monthly subscription boxes. I know they're sort of all the rage right now, and for good reason! Who wouldn't want to get a nice little goody box full of surprises every month, and have it delivered right to their door?

Starlooks

One of the hottest monthly subscription boxes around is Starlooks. Starlooks offers a monthly Starbox, featuring 3-4 star quality beauty items. Starlooks makes up these gorgeous boxes, and sends them all out, once a month, to their subscribers. I was lucky enough to be able to receive an October Starbox for review. This was my very first experience with Starlooks, so I was very excited, and couldn't wait to see what sorts of items would be included in my very first Starbox.

My October Starbox

The Starbox came right to my door, and was nicely packaged. Everything was tucked inside a pretty little black box, with a silver string, and tied in a bow. When I opened my Starbox, I found my new products- Starlooks See No Evil Gold Dust Eyeliner, Starlooks Hear No Evil Posh Peddle Eye Pigment in Purple, and Starlooks Speak No Evil Blood Red, with a shimmery orange 'Masquerade' Lipstick. Also included in my box, was a package of two Eye Rock Tattoos.

Here are all of the goodies that came in my October Stabox from Starlooks!

These bold colors were definitely different for me. Though they aren't colors that I would wear everyday, they were all certainly very intriguing, and I couldn't wait to experiment with them. I thought that the perfect day to test them all out for the first time, would be Halloween, as I would be taking my son trick-or-treating for the first time, and wanted to show him how fun dressing up can be. So, while Balian napped, I applied the temporary Eye Rock Tattoos. They were easy to apply, and I left a little extra room on the side, just to avoid any possible eye irritation.

After applying the Eye Rock Tattoos- aren't they pretty!?

After the tattoos were well applied and dried, I decided to get a little creative and use the gold dust eyeliner, and the purple eye color shadow, to fill in the tattoos with some color. I gently weaved the purple and gold colors in between the black tattoo outlines, and wound up with a very pretty design!

I used the purple shadow on my eyelids, and swept it out a little bit, and then added the gold dust eyeliner to color in my tattoos. I also lined my eyes with the gold dust eyeliner.

Right before we left the house for trick-or-treating, I put on a black shirt, and painted my lips with the blood red lipstick. My mom got a big kick out of my get-up, and I received a lot of compliments from parents and neighbors as we trick-or-treated throughout our neighborhood.

My painted face, next to my little Peter Pan on Halloween night...

I love Starlooks products! They all wore incredibly well, held up, and nothing smeared or smudged. I even loved the blood red Masquerade Lipstick so much that I've been wearing it here and there. For just $15.00/month, the Starlooks Starbox is an incredible deal!
